Its very frustrating as Tyson is a much loved member of our football team. The fact is we don't know the full ins and outs of every re-signing and the thinking behind it. I think its a mistake and I want him here. He obviously loves it at the club and has performed well with the few opportunities he has been given. Lastly how many years do we expect Covic to remain at the club and when will the inevitable dip in form occur. These are the rare times when football sucks. Chin up Tyson.

You know Tyson would be here forever if he could, and that is rare. That's the bit that gets me.

Anyway. Business is business, sometimes it's a **** business. Que sera sera and all that.

Whoever gets him will be lucky. He'll always have my best wishes and my utmost respect.

Admin: Cut the crap.

It was bad enough you posted a garbage rumour that's been around since the first season (which if it were true, WSW would never have re-signed Tyson), then you're following it up with trolling against people who are respected enough by the players to know the truth about issues, but don't go blabbing about them on the internet.

I want to put a stop to all the questions and rumors that are circulating around about my future with the Wanderers.

It is with great sadness that I can confirm that I have been released by the club to make way for a new signing.

I want to thank everyone in Western Sydney and especially those in our Wanderers Family for accepting me whole heartedly. The support I've received since my arrival has been incredibly touching and it's been an honor to represent you during my time here.

One of the things I love most about the west is how truly diverse it is. I've had so many people, from so many walks of life open their hearts and share their cultures, their lives and their families with me and for this, Western Sydney will always feel like home.

I am with out question leaving a better person than I arrived and I have you all to thank for this.

Next I want to thank Popa and the club for extending me their hand after the closure of Gold Coast United and for giving me the best education in football I could have asked for. You opened the door for me to continue my A-League journey as well as allowing me the opportunity to play Asian Champions League football. Although that hand has now been retracted I will always be grateful for the experiences and lessons learned under your guidance and leave a better goalkeeper and professional.

Lastly I'd like to say that my two seasons at the club have been extremely special. Being just the 10th player ever signed to the inaugural squad is something that I'm extremely proud of and will take with me forever.

I am confident that this door closing will lead to another door opening and that my journey in football will continue.

To the people of the west I will never say goodbye, so instead I'll say this:

Shirts change, blood doesn't!

Forever family.

"released to make way for a new signing"

Unless it's Lev Yashin or a 25 year-old Gigi Buffon, the club have made a terrible decision.

Or a 25yr old claudio taffarel, Thomas Ravelli or Jorge Campos lol

I want the playing roster to be as strong as possible and if its Bouznas (spelling) and the coaching staff think he is better than Tyson then I'm happy to support the club on this.

It is a little perplexing as what I saw from Tyson look to be solid when given his chance.

Only time will tell...

i am sad at losing tyson too - he was everything that was good about the club.

but in a league with a cap as tight as ours backup keepers can't be paid much more than the minimum. if tyson was asking for more and bouzanis or whoever was prepared to sign for less then can understand it even if its disappointing.

in related news - I hate the salary cap and the sooner the league is solid enough to get rid of it the better for all involved.

also massive thanks to tyson for everything he has done and as hard as it will be to see him in any other colours I look forward to his return so we can show our appreciation.

Out of all the players we are losing (or potentially losing) this season, I am the saddest about Tyson. I really hoped we would keep him. I'm glad I got to spend a bit of time with him this season, and I'm incredibly grateful for so much of what he did. Not just for myself, but for the entire community. I think Antony Golec was right when he said that Jerrad is irreplaceable.

He'll always have my support wherever he goes. Whoever signs him is going to be incredibly lucky, and the fans are definitely picking up a real gem.

All the best Jerrad!

Gutted by this decision. Great team player, club man, sort of bloke you want your daughter to bring home and all this aside, looked a good keeper in the few games he played. I hope he gets a run elsewhere and has a long and prosperous career. He'll get my applause no matter where he goes and would have loved to have had the chance to give him the send off he deserves. Always part of the Wanderer family.

Hate the fact such a true servant of the club has been let go in this way...or should that be any way? He deserved more opportunities to play, and what Jerrad did achieve when asked was considerable. I can't think of too many other A-League clubs where he wouldn't walk in as a first pick if signed, so if he does get an offer from say a Victory or Glory good luck to him. However I hope he finds the chance to maybe ply his trade in a lower tier league in Europe or maybe the J or K Leagues.

The Wanderers will go on, but our soul has been diminished a little...thanks Jerrad, loved your work!

Absolutely gutted. There will be hundreds of little kids in red and black (and big kids) who will miss him a great deal and be saddened by this. I have been around football for many years and have never seen an individual put so much into his fans, the local juniors and his on  field game time. To be honest I would have preferred to see Covic go instead and believe JT should have got given more game time this year, especially when Covic had a few ordinary performances and looked tired. I would believe he probably attended more Jnr. club presentations, hospital visits and other community engagements than any other player in the A League.

Can someone close to the club organise a decent and respectful send off for our favourite son. I'm not sure how much longer he is going to be calling Sydney home, so needs to be done sooner rather than later. Don't be shy Jerrad, if you are reading, give us a venue and I'm sure your Wanderers family will show up in numbers to wish you well.

Does it need to be someone from the club?

Can't we just organise something at the Roxy?

Tyson was at one of my best freinds weddings, late last year. He was the perfect gentleman. The bride and Groom walked into Exit Rows Wanderers song lol.

Anyway today that person told me that this is not official news yet , however it will be shortly.

Tyson apprently signed/agreed to terms with Perth Glory just yesterday..  It makes sense plus he would be their number one keeper.  I hope its not true , but thats comin from a very reliable source.

I've heard this before.... from a very reliable source.

But serious.. I hope your source is unreliable.

Hmmmmm Look like my source was very reliable!!!

But he's not going to Glory. Glory reneged on the deal.

Anyway......**** the club. Totally pissed off with their decision to release him. He was forced out.

Goes again'st everything we as a club stand for. How can we 'release' the very epitome of what we stand for. Generosity of spirit, community minded, loyal, tireless social/community worker. FFS John, Popa and Lyall, you've ****ed this one up.
