Damn, why do I feel like just when you think you know who are the stars of the WSW up crops another squaddie to show he's in the mix. La Rocca has been like Labinot...flying under the radar, getting starts here and there...then bang...along came last Saturday's game and you think 'Thank fucq he's in our squad'.

probably in place of mooy

He'll almost certainly start the derby. Definitely in place of Mooy. Expecting Cole to replace Polenz and either Elrich/Kubi to replace Hersi.

Has to start has been in really good form, rather see him holding with Poljak that at right back.... But in popa we trust.

I'm a big fan of the big Italian, but yesterday was the absolute worst I've ever seen him play! Our entire squad was flat, unable to play 90 mins at our signature pace, but he was gooooorne early. Distribution was diabolical, he could have passed for Mile Jedinak! Hoping it's just condition and Mr Watto has been pumping the boys hard early in the season.

before we are too harsh on La Rocca, it is pretty hard to get into a game when you have trained all week to come off the bench, are of the mindset you are on the bench and will get maybe 20 mins at the end of the game, and then 10 mins into the game see someone knocked unconscious and are thrown into the game without even preparing.

i know, as a professional footballer, you should be ready, but that is easier said than done.

it was his worst game in a WSW jersey on Sunday, but i'll back him to start and be back to his best in the Derby

I would agree with you if he hadn't been off his game up at Gosford as well. Hopefully his touch and passing do improve because we really need that deep lying outlet.

People might be underestimating the effect the heat must play against La Rocca. Both the opening rounds were in hot conditions.

Let's see how he performs on Saturday for a night game.

Bloody well, is the answer. Distribution switched back to "Italian" setting, instead of "Jedinak", defensive running and positioning incredible AND (after just watching the replay) he gave the cove a massive serve after his goal! Poor Aaron will struggle to get back in if he keeps it up.

He really gave it to the Cove when he scored.  Legend.

Someone needs to make that into a gif.
