Yeh wow that is really unfortunate for him (if it really is an acl)! Really feel sorry for a bloke that has trained nearly three months to get his fitness up and then boom injury! That is the way football goes sometimes, hope he comes back stronger and better for it!

Torn anterior cruciate ligament & medial collateral ligament. Needs full knee reconstruction, should be out for at least a year if not longer.

Ouch! Incredibly unlucky (for both him and the squad).

They can send his bill to whoever taught him (or failed to teach him) to tackle. That was ugly, I knew it was gooorne immediately.

****!! That is some unlucky stuff, he must have had some bad joojoo or someone from the Melb city was a witch doctor and put three pins through his knee!

Best of luck to the young man in his recovery. Hopefully we'll see him next season sometime.

real shame it was an ACL, a full pre season with Popa could have really done wonders for him, im still adamant once he gets fitness and some games that he can become our Ibini, except I reckon he'll be better than Ibini.

Any idea on how much longer he'll be sidelined? It's still months away, correct?

I thought it'd be just after the season starts?

He did it March 8, so it's been 6 months. Anyone know for sure? I know they didn't want to rush him.

Gol Gol is joining in on 80 - 90% of the running & drills performed by the squad.

He's doesn't see his specialist until mid November (6 months after operation) but the young fella is extremely dedicated to his rehab & is progressing ahead of schedule. :clapping:

Nice work, in the wise words of Alan Pardew 'he will be like a new signing for us'.

Hopefully we see the best of him this season.

Wise words & Alan Pardew in the same sentence.

I've heard it all now. #myheadhurts

I am glad the sarcasm was not lost on you Taurus.

I am a long suffering NUFC supporter, supporting the Wanderers is a massive breath of fresh air for me.
