Getting closer to my $50

The heat is on...

Btron

Not sure if serious.

I put some conditions on the bet and you didn't respond, and now months later it's still on? Dude.

Lol I put the bet up you accepted I liked it what do you want an electronic handshake?

Yeah, actually. You need confirmation that the bet is on. I asked a couple of questions and you didn't answer. I even thought about coming and harassing you, asking if you were all talk, that sort of thing, but I couldn't remember what thread it was in, so I didn't bother.

I even said that I would only do it for the fun factor. Where's the fun of being told that you are about to lose a bet that you didn't even know you had made, just before it's over?

I'm only stirring ya :)

It was an unloseable bet for me i'd never ever expect you to pay up.

We are all victims of Pio.

Haha no worries. I hate when people don't pay their bets, so didn't want to be accused of that.

Yeah we're all victims of Pio, but if I was gonna fork out $50 on top of his performances I'd at least want a couple of months of ****-talking on here to make it worth the while!

So he's never gonna play for wsw again.. Is he still training with the team? Or training on his own? Like the Saba treatment?

training on his own with some ball boy. Had an option of goin back to Spain but that fell through :unknw:

That's just sad

It is sad actually. Apparently he jumped up with excitement when Santa scored last week so he still cares. Saba never really cared.

I posted in the post-match thread as Pio was sitting right in front of me. He was genuinely engaged with the game and followed it closely. Lots of people in the past few weeks have still been coming up to get his autograph and giving him words of encouragement but his time is done. I personally enjoyed what he brought to the team, even when his scoring boots were left in Spain.

It's really weird isn't it. There is a decent player in there somewhere. There was the odd glimpse of it here and there. If his attitude is still ok and he still cares enough to be engaged and train, then why has he not been able to fight his way back into to the squad?

Shame, we could really do with the option of a physical presence up front.

Imagine next club he plays for he kills it

Only chance is if fathead or Santa are both injured, even then I'd doubt it

I still think the defining moment was when that goal was disallowed for him on the new years day game against Adelaide. I can't help but think that if that was allowed (as it should have been) then things might have turned out better for him. Alas, the final nail in his coffin will be when he is moved to the "Ex-Players" section of the forum before season end...

Maybe it's Popa giving him the ultimate kick in the backside, with these rumours that he won't play for WSW again

unless of course he is legit training with a ballboy...

I kind of thought that too, the "goal" was the sort of thing we thought we had bought. If it have stood could have been different.

That said, there is more to it than that, must be to totally banish him

Of course, he's had a rubbish season overall. But that game ended as a 0-0 draw due to **** refereeing (Adelaide should have been given that penalty, seconds after we should've been given that goal) but on an individual level I feel like that would have been too much for Pio. If he had come out with the winning goal for that game that may have given him the conference to try harder and harder to be up to starting 11 standards.

This is all speculation though in the end though. In a few years time nobody will remember Pio.

hes sort of like trifonovic from jets who has taken a while to get going and still is an ok sort of striker who can hold the ball up and poach a few here and there. But unlike the jets we have much more competition up front so if your not puttin them away there is only so much chances popa is gona give ya till someone else gets there chance

Saw pio training with the team in the latest wsw video. Is there potential for a comeback? Just in time for the finals?
