Aspro has a bit of pace and he can pass the ball from the back, he needs to be in the squad this week.

Cornflakes cannot keep up with the pace of the attack and his passing from the back has been atrocious

Saw some comments in the match thread that Redders should have went with his hands instead of feet on the conceded goal  :shok:

Do people realise it was a backpass  :nono:

An indirect free kick is better than conceding a goal. He also didn't get to the ball clearly first anyway so if he smothers it, the refs could have said the Mariners had touched it first so no backpass.

the irritating thing about him is he has proven he can be an amazing goal keeper he can be a trainwreck too

Anyone watch shootout last night and saw bozzas comments about Redmayne?

He reckons he should be dropped because heis low on form and low on confidence and him making same mistakes week in and week out is not helping him or the team.

Yeah I watched it he also said Borda was shithouse

I see no chance of redmayne missing out unless popa wants to actually send a message to these guys

If they play around at the back and lose it city is the most lethal attack to put those stuff ups away

Just boot the thing clear if in doubt redders tell kalac to go **** himself if he demands you to play out

His reactions are treacle. Berisha's header was already passed him by the time he tried getting his hands up. How the **** did anyone at the Wanderers watch his performances at Melbourne Heart, where he couldn't really pin down being first choice against ******* Tando Velaphi, and thought "Yup, there's someone we can depend on in goals".

On the first goal, Biester was closer to the centre circle than the 18 yard box and ******* falls over on his knees before the ball arrives.

You can blame Redmayne for the first goal, but can you blame him solely for the second or third? Was he the one that missed the sitters? Was he the one that only got 5 out of 18 shots in target? Was he the one that wasted good crossing opportunities? Was he the one that missed our chances?

I'm not his biggest fan but to blame everything on Redmayne is wrong

Spot on....we had enough opportunities to score half a dozen, we missed all....they are all mistakes, the 1st goal was Redmayne's mistake but he also had a couple of good saves. I am also not a big fan but this cannot just be blamed on him.

He's directly cost us at least 5 goals this season, against Newcastle he made three errors and cost us two goals. That's at least 4 certain mistakes (Boogaard, Hoole, Berisha & Keogh) and two half-mistakes. He gave Brosque a tap-in that he could have kicked away instead of trying to hand save (I call it a half-error since Brosque was at very close range and the shot wasn't from 35 yards like Berisha), and the Berry goal was half his fault for failing to kick it when he should have dived & smothered it.

Not to blame for all, the first perhaps.

He just isnt good enough unfortunately, all there is to say. Every performance raises questions.

On one hand it drives me mad it he gets blamed for everything.

On the other he's a professional goalkeeper, no Canterbury league all age 8s. You can't give a stupid goal away every week. He gave the first goal away the rest is irrelevant

Bloody oath he was to blame for the first one.

Second goal was a brilliantly worked goal, no one to blame there.

Third goal was primarily on Borda's lack of pace, but Redmayne should've closed down the angle better. Not race out off his line but slowly advance like good keepers do. He barely moved an inch, although I wouldn't say he was at fault.

Mack, all I'm trying to say is that we didn't lose the game because of Redmayne. There was as much fault to the 10 other players on the field as there was to Redmayne.

All those video highlights is that he isn't a number 1 keeper. We know that. If you are a top keeper you don't make those mistakes every week but people are still surprised when he continues to make mistakes.

We all have felt that the recruitment of goalkeepers was wrong, signing two number 2's was never going to end well. Redmayne is the easy target.

Just on the first goal, where were the defenders, or anyone for that matter, to shut down Beister from getting the shot in in the first place?

He was given much too much space and time. Blame can be levelled on several players, not just Redmayne for that first goal.

City fans were jumping for joy when this guy left the club.

He was as bad as Tando Velaphi. That says it all.

For me it is just the way he is positioned and his body language during the game. There's that lack of certainty. That's where all his mistakes come from. He puts doubt in everyone's minds including his own, the players around him and supporters. Technically he might be a good shot stopper and pull of some good saves. He might be one of the better shot stoppers in league even. But that matters for little when you look at everything else that is happening around him.

Wrapping a turd with bacon don't make it Fillet Mignon.....he's average at best , too many mistakes over a number of games, that 1st goal WAS his fault.....ask someone like Bozza who has played at the highest level, what he should've done with that shot...pushed it AWAY from any goal scoring opportunities. Anyways, fuuck it , thx for your efforts Redmayne, time to move on ,we need a solid keeper ...... Covic anyone? Still don't get why he wasn't retained in the first place .
