Marcus was interviewed after the his debut game:

Seems like a nice lad. I'm wishing him all the best in the upcoming NPL season. I feel he'll eventually get himself a scholarship into the senior squad in the near future. :good:

Kid is a baller. Big possibility he becomes the best prospect we've had from our youth.

What's his productivity been like in the NPL? I usually keep up with the yooff stuff but its gotten harder the last 12 months

He's been scoring loads of goals since he was 13 years old.

Hard? Nah. Some of it could be found here: https://competitions.footballnsw.com.au/

Last season, he played a few games in the U18's and U20's. He got called up to the NPL squad during the finals (that's because majority of the players had departed from the Wanderers and were at their new club by then).

Unfortunately, it doesn't say how many goals he scored in the U18's and apparently, he scored around at least 10-15 out of 23 games. However, he scored 7 goals while playing for the U20's. out of 18 games. He scored a hat-trick against Northern Tigers in the first week of the U20's finals.

Not so much the stats I mean. I used to get to some of the youth games to watch. 2 kids and work travel have made it hard

Playing across 3 age groups in a season is a fantastic indicator though.

Oh, right. That's unfortunate. :(

The good news is since they're playing in the NPL this season, they'll play a few games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Unlike last year, about 95% of their games were played on Saturday nights (except when they would play Central Coast Mariners, Their games were played on Sunday and I think this is because the Central Coast United FC were playing their games on Saturday night).

I'm keen to go to the Friday night game at Wollongong when they play against the Wolves.

Hopefully we get to see him in the season off the bench getting his minutes up. I know this kid has got something about him after watching some NPL games. Just needs a shot and hopefully he takes it.
