The game we won was Rd1 and that was more the players putting in a huge shift as an FU to Popa and sticking together. Foxe threw away a 2-0 lead to SFC by refusing to do any subs and SFC came back to draw level. He was too focused on the FFA Cup semi on the Tuesday which we got completely outplayed in and lost. Many of his "fans" forget this game. We were useless. The rest of the AL games were not great and we were going through the motions. There was no sign of tactical nous at all. Would not have been a good appointment to give him the full time job. Then again, we got Gombau and we know how that went.

I do vaguely remember that semi final. All I remember is Daniel Adlung? scoring a belter against us for Adelaide.

I was at the derby as well and I must admit it was very disappointing throwing away that lead, however we could've lost it cause im pretty sure Matt Simon hit the post in the last minute.

Merrick in season 2 and 4 with victory was very entertaining 

go on you tube and look for Fred and Hernandez 

their best seasons and their teams played fantastic football 

we could do a lot worse (and have) then Merrick 

I’m not a fan of the A-League coach merry go round

We are a Western Sydney club that had a strong grassroots culture and I think we should choose an NPL coach and let them have a step up

Yeah MV became the biggest club in the competition under Merrick.

Fred, Allsop, Archie, Hernandez, Muscat, Theo, Vargas etc.

Also great players like Claudinho and Leandro Love.

They struggled a few years after they sacked him and only became competitive again under Muscat.

I agree with you.  Blacktown City have been a very successful and  well organised club for a long time, both our grades got an absolute hiding from them Friday night,

You would have thought it was the Blacktown under 20s who had all the highly regarded young  footballers, not us

If there ever was a time to appoint him it would be now, if he's interested.

Stick with a tried no tested NPL coach. That seems to be the quality of the team we will have next season.

I haven't forgotten the cup game at Campbelltown, as much as I might have tried. Dreadful performance

just been deperatures so far, there has to be a falling out to get rid of JP after just a few months again signing him on as new coach, lets hope the new coach comes in soon and then chooses the team, we are becoming more and more of a circus the last few years, lot of members are not renewing this coming season, the passion is dying in the stands and so is the passion from the players

honestly my memory is shot i agree with that, i do remember some boring matches so i guess that is what i am basing that off but the league is(well was at the time and still is) full of boring matches

i wouldnt complain about Merrick

Man... thank god we've changed to Kappa, as I think we're all out of the Nike coaches kit now.

Not that I would take that comment from a smurf without punching them in the nose.... but it does hurt (a lot)

Never in my wildest did I think a club with this much potential could ever be here - we ARE football... and yet they manage to f$#% it up. You would think the afl or Ch7 are running the club

It’s been like this for three years now this is a minor **** up compared to Popavic going a week before the season with no contingency plan in place, or the move to ANZ and dismantle the squad year 

We are more Everton than Everton at the moment 

The new coach is there, there just waiting for Tim Gilbert to arrange to interview him and share his story of how this is his dream with everyone.
