Set to be officially revealed tomorrow, the live site will be at Centenary Square Parramatta, previously known as the Church Street Mall.

Will be there.  Who knows who'll tag along from my family at 4am.  Probably oldest son who is so completely obsessed that last night when doing homework I was explaining to youngest the usage of exclamation marks by saying "Yes Wanderers have scored!".  He comes bolting in with extreme excitement on face and then much disappointment and laughter from me.

Why are people saying the time will affect numbers?

04:30 is normal football watching time in this country!

This is EXACTLY what I have been thinking.

It's almost poetic. It's like - yes, this is US, this is just going to be a shared experience of everything so many of us have done as a matter of course for our whole lives. A fitting end.

Why not? We got 4k on a Wed night at Cook Park when we had 7 players signed.

Getting 5k on a Sunday morning for the ACL final? 20k

I've never been to the live site at Darling Harbour for a Socceroos match.

    How many would it hold?

Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying one of those nice Italian coffees and screaming my heart out at Marconi. Staggering distance from home - and I'm a creature of comfort :)

    I just hope there's enough room ....

Also, is 4.8m x 2.4m screen large/ large enough for all to see??

It will be set up in the square and turned on at 3.30am, ahead of the 4.15am kick-off.

Not sure, but at least a couple of thousand, in saying that... The screen was very large and there was 3x the room available for spectators, not sure Centenary square has the room or whether the screen will be big enough!

Remember that GIANT projector they had on the blank wall (Finals, Season One), on the building on O'Connell St (near the cnr of George)???

THAT would've been epic - show the match on that!!  :) :) :)

    Close off O'Connell Street!!!

    Yeah, I'm not convinced.

I'm not convinced that the area that's been chosen is even large enough to hold thousands (let along hundreds!) of WSW fans.

Let alone that anywhere near the majority of people will be able to see and/or hear the match!

Yeah the area will be tight ... will be interesting to see how the position the screen and views to it.

Nevertheless when there is a will there's a way

    • 1 year contract extension this pre-season after scoring 9 goals at his age suggests he & his agents were expecting good performances over the remaining two years of the deal to enable a move to Asia or Europe, or at minimum, a very good A-League contract. It probably has a release clause now too.
    • Credit to Lions City, they suffocated Sanfrecce Hiroshima for a draw at home, they embarrassed the Smurfs there too. But Lion City do not have a good away record in the ACL2, they have only won 1 game against a Thai Club so this would go in Smurfs favour at home
