The longer I take to make a decision on whether to go the more it's gonna cost me (to fly down from Gold Coast) but reading this thread I reckon I need to be there. Arghhhh...

You know you want to.......... go onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn  :good:

    6yfz39.jpg

That dedication...to travel interstate to watch game on a TV screen! Come on buddy, do it!

More dedicated than travelling halfway around the world to go to the game

The funny thing about that is I have a cousin who recently moved from Abu Dhabi to Saudi Arabia & I saw her brothers and sister at their dad's second wedding a few weeks back. I couldn't get in touch with her though to find out if it was possible to go there...

I can settle for watching with a few thousand like minded people screaming, singing and cheering for the mighty Wanderers.

For what it's worth, my dedication to the team could easily have been lost when my good friends Aaron (Mooy) & Tarek (Elrich) left the club. But NO WAY, when I join something (especially something as special as this) I'm in it for life. My new creedo is WSW4ever.

Looking forward to arriving in Sydney tomorrow night & for Saturday night & into Sunday morning!

You actually know them personally? That's nice :)

Re when you come to Parra, this is an idea how to stand out. Just walk around and yell out 'I'm from the Gold Coast!' and after everyone stops laughing at you well realise you're one of us and will help you out :) Good on you for the effort shown bro!

So... I've never been to these things before - supposing I attend, do I like bring a chair or will I just stand there and hope for the best view?

"Don Revie a striker from Middlesbrough just like me. were the same Don and I" Said Clough when he still worshipped him...... The Damned United is basically a story about how a small town in the North of England like Middlesbrough produced two of the most talented individuals in the game :xnod: My family lived around the corner from the Clough's and the Revie's and knew them both   :good:

But enough of how amazing the Boro is :D  :P

there will be more than one screen

    people will be standing

    people will be chanting

    people will be jumping/moshing

if it rains you will get wet

if you don't like this stay at home

    cheers.

    Is the moshing really necessary?

    Just asking!

absolutely, its not a proper game unless there is moshing.

Yep you betcha, CH7, 9 and Channel (send us your video of WSW fans misbehaving) 10 will all have 'colour' reporters there pretending to be emersed in the atmosphere and having a group shouting "Go Wanderers" (because that's what we always chant) as they cross back to the studio where a plastic host will smilingly nod and make a small aside like "What an atmoshpere hey".

    But then I'm cynical.

Yeah mate, know Aaron as an old coach of his, Tarek through his family (coached his cousin). Tricky (Jason Trifiro) was in the State team I was A/C for in 2004.

RE: standing out, I have an idea! Will wear the now defunct Gold Coast United A-League jersey - the blue with gold & white (over my Wanderers one) initially!! which will come off eventually...
