Set to be officially revealed tomorrow, the live site will be at Centenary Square Parramatta, previously known as the Church Street Mall.

Opposite the Parramatta Town Hall, the precinct was recently given a $5 million dollar restoration and this live site will be one of the first major events held there.

thank you to DLM Steve issa, Fox sports, parra council and the RBB reps who organised this in the space of 48 hours. Council are looking at getting 2 large screen going in the square End of the day those complaining about having an obstructed view of the screen etc..thats ibviously to be expected at a live site or any site (be it marconi, blacktown or albion) The only true good view of a game is on your own TV..but in essence this isn't what the live site is about. its about watching the game as one and just the thought of it i know for a fact would be an inspiration to the boys who i know are well aware of this live site occuring

Now please Steve Issa look at my email I sent yesterday about my parking fine at Wanderland last week... :nono:

Since I've become an active supporter I've given up on the whole concept of watching a football game, hence I am not overly concerned about where the monitors are located, how big they are, and how much I can see. I just hope that the site will be big enough. From what I am reading here there might be not just hundreds but thousands showing up.

    Yeah, I'm not convinced.

I'm not convinced that the area that's been chosen is even large enough to hold thousands (let along hundreds!) of WSW fans.

Let alone that anywhere near the majority of people will be able to see and/or hear the match!

I guarantee you one thing, you will see a better view of the game on this screen than you would at a live game at ANZ.....

People don't half worry............... it will be fine............................ possibly   :D

If you want to go to Marconi and continue to get smashed as the sun comes up, good go for it. If you want to go down to Parra and possibly enjoy a little more discomfort but in the presence of the WSW family then go for it.

I think it is great the extent this is going to, I didn't expect anything at Parra and what we have is amazing in the short notice......

Right, back to the whinging :P

Nothing to stop the odd hip flask or six pack been snuck into the midst of the 1000's of people at the square, how are they going to stop that?

I'm more concerned that we will be so far away we won't have a clue what is happening, at least at Wanderland you can see the ball going into the back of the net & if you miss that the crowd is erupting around you! I'm concerned that only the people in the front few rows will actually be able to tell what's happening is goals/cards/fouls unless they manage to raise the screen in the air so people at the back will be able to get a general idea of what's happening in the game!

I'll probably just go home hours afterwards and watch the game, again & again & again to see the game anyway!!

It's still gonna have a better view than in the RBB right? Last game I didn't know who scored until I heard the capo yell 'TOMI!'.

Peeps, we're not going for the view as much as we're going for the sake of having a ball and celebrating this monumental occasion together. It's the spirit that will be there during the game, not the amount of the pixels on the screen that matters.

Well, the only way you can tell that is to go isn't it, if you think it might not be for you don't go... simple. Leave more room for the rest of us..............

Actually carry on whinging people............. put a few more off :D

Why are people saying the time will affect numbers?

04:30 is normal football watching time in this country!

I heard you say that in the ATB podcast. muhaha

Why not? We got 4k on a Wed night at Cook Park when we had 7 players signed.

Getting 5k on a Sunday morning for the ACL final? 20k

I've never been to the live site at Darling Harbour for a Socceroos match.

    How many would it hold?

I dunno...I'm not willing to travel to the city in the middle of the night to freeze my ass off and watch the Socceroos lose haha

Another thing, not that it will affect how we act anyway.

What about the noise? How come the council has allowed this to go through considering many non-Wandering Parramattans will want to sleep at that time?

I'm not complaining, I'm just interested.

Probably because usually the only peopl within ear shot in that area of Parra at 3am are druggies, tramps and homeless refugees. We probably seem like a better alternative.

Parra townhall isn't really near residential dwellings, if it was at parra stadium then there would be complaints being closer to units and homes etc.

Anyway **** em if we score or win I'll be going ***** mental and hope we're that loud the folks at east Sydney are awoken and cry to the tune of our joy.

When we play at Parra it is usually during early evening when there is a lot of people around and other noises (ie traffic). At 3:30 in the am, parra and it's surrounds will likely be very quiet. We will most certainly be heard :)

When there's fireworks at Parramattta, they can be heard from my place in Carlingford.

I 'll have to get my Mum to listen out for our cheers & stuff on Sunday morning!!

If people are forced to urinate into the fountain holes then we all might be in for a rude shock once they turn the water in and reverse the process.
