    mack

Parramatta City will be hosting a live site for the Asian Champions League final second leg on Sunday morning.

Set to be officially revealed tomorrow, the live site will be at Centenary Square Parramatta, previously known as the Church Street Mall.

Opposite the Parramatta Town Hall, the precinct was recently given a $5 million dollar restoration and this live site will be one of the first major events held there.

Nothing beats a live site. I've already heard a few of my mates say they will just go to Marconi 'cause it is closer'

Funnily enough they are the ones that missed most of the ACL games  :unknw:

Fair enough for those who plan to watch at home with young family or have to work the night before and maybe a few other valid excuses.

My 8 year old son said he will go to sleep 3 hours earlier (those with kids know this never happens) just to get up and go to watch at the live site or use the money in his bank account to get a hotel room in Parra so 'we aren't as far from the place we are going to daddy'

This is the type of thing people should be saying now after the hard work of people to make this happen.

calling a spade a spade though and sorry if I offend anyone but i don't care... it may be 50 years before we get to play in a competitive game of such importance again. I don't see how any fan who claims they love the wanderers wouldn't want to get down to our home and be shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters. If we win it's going to be a magical experience you will cherish for the rest of your life and if possible surely you would want to experience it in a fitting environment. If we lose you can cry with a stranger and blame the ref  :P

Spread the word people lets make this massive  :flag:

My favourite part will be watching match, with my fellow Wanderers Family - including those who are women, those who are Jewish, those who are attracted to those of the same gender!

    :)

Don't forget those of us who are atheists - now officially deemed to be "terrorists" in The Kingdom...

It'd be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

How many will the area near the town hall take. me thinks they may have underestimate the demand. I'm tipping some where near 7-8 thousand - hope theyve got a really big screen

We all hope we will be back in the ACL final regularly, but you are right, this could be it for a long time and we need to appreciate now how big this is and get out on the streets and paint Parra red and back Sunday morning! Some might want the comfort of home or a bar just a few strides away in some club...............me...... I prefer to be on the streets of Parra :good:

There was a live site in Middlesbrough for the 2006 UEFA cup final  (club only got 11,000 tickets for the final!!!!). That was in a square similar to this and the council underestimated that one. People ended up climbing up traffic lights and street lamps,  or sitting on top of bus shelters lol Must say it was quite a sight that sea of people though!!!!!

Also nailed on that the TV cameras from the major networks will be at the square Sunday morning also.

I say no more than 3000..

Not half bad though is it? When you cosider it's 4am in the morning. Plus lots of people will be watching at home, clubs etc. That would be amazing, 3,000 people in the middle of the night, in Parramatta town centre. Awesome

Other A-League clubs have been able to get 3,000 to an ACL match, on the family friendly time of 7:00PM/ 7:30 PM

To get 3,000 at Ridiculous o'clock in the morning would be brilliant.
