This isn't going to go well for us

Well if you do your maths we beat Roar at their pig paddock 1 nil roar beat Sydney FC 4-3 at FC ground so that says we win and also we are 3 points behind FC with a game in hand so our season form is similar so that means we aren’t with out hope 😏

we should be relishing this challenge

this game decides if we can make the finals or not. this game is just about our grand final here.

a win from this game shows we have the ability to make the finals - a loss is a nail in the coffin - yes we will still be a mathematical chance, but if we cant beat those above us - we dont deserve to play finals

away form is better than home form - we should be confident going into this game to get a result

Must win isn't it, win this and we are right in the mix and shows we can win the tough games and deserve to make the finals

A loss makes the 6 very difficult but also shows we aren't deserving anyway

Anyone have an update on Mata's hamstring injury?

Assuming Mata is out injured, I guess this would be the line up

    Thomas

    Cleur - Bonnetig - Panta - Clisby

    Milanovic - Priestman - Brillante - Kraev

    Sapsford - Borello

Subs: Holmes, Carluccio, Al-taay, Pelekanos, Hammond, Temelkovski, Antonsson

    Probably but I hope not

I'd leave Brillante in at CB we need some experience in there.

Play Panta at left back as Lolley takes Clisby apart every time

Midfield is a issue but I'd play Hammond and Milanovic wide with Priestman and Kraev in the middle

    Staj wont

Yeah I agree, that is what I would go with also.

As for the game itself, I see no reason we can't get all 3 points as long as we start smoothly and don't lose focus.

I asked my son if he wanted to go...feeling pretty certain he wouldn't...and if he didn't want to go then meh...I wasn't bothered either...

But...he said 'yeah I will come'! :shok:

Which means I going to the game <sigh>

My expectations are rock bottom anyway..

I should have just kept my mouth shut and not asked.

If we go with that we will concede at least 3

Lolley will do rude things to Clisby in a very discovery channel sort of way and Panta can't save him. Also Brillante and Priestman in the midfield neither can pass forwards.

Same back 4 that started last game, put Kraev in middle for Mata and Hammond outwide to for Kraev

This footy manager stuff is a piece of piss isn't it

    Where are you going?

    Japan

The island where Shinji Ono played a good portion of his career in (Hokkaido) - interestingly, when I was there last I saw quite a few posters with his face. I dunno if I should wear my WSW jersey, I'm sure some people will recognise it?

They'll probably think it's an old Urawa kit.

I went to Japan...i was like a freak show...all these random people wanted to take their photo with the tall western guy

Its a good measure of the two cultures in Japan and China actually. The Japanese are all coy, shy, giggle and walk away...the Chinese just stride up and get in your face and take a photo

Agree we are screwed. Despite the defensive issue Smurfs have, we haven't fixed our own issues and the way Smurfs play exploits us more ways than one.

In saying that they are the only team in the whole comp that actually have the wood on us. The way the draw has come out for us its not too bad for us aside from Auckland away.

I never said we screwed ;) I merely implied it.

We have somewhat stopped leaking crazy goals, clean sheet last week and then only 1 late one against Auckland. But with that our scoring seems to have dried up.

The thought of a Panta / Clisby combination on the left side of defence scares the **** out of me. So I hope we keep same back 4 as last week.
