Victory Is Life In Red & Black's Special Comeback

Yeah what a game. Best comeback win since the Brisbane semi at the old joint I reckon. And good atmosphere.

Gotta tip my lid to Thomas too. He was immense again tonight. They could easily have been another two or three goals up but he (and Panta) kept us in it until we fought back.

Disappointed that more people didnโ€™t get off the lounge to come to the game. Deserved more than 10k, but it sounded like twice that number.

Iโ€™m not disappointed as itโ€™s what I expectedโ€ฆโ€ฆIt will take timeโ€ฆ.but more performances like tonight it will happenโ€ฆ.

I thought Antonsson had his best game for us tonight.

Antonsson has been real good for us all season tbh, even in those 20min cameo's he has lifted the team.ย  He has to be close to starting in front of Sapsford.

**** I'm glad to be wrong @William

What are you saying? Have you changed from Stajcic in to Stajcic out?

What a night!ย  Not sure on the crowd numbers but the atmosphere was great!

I really rate Gersbach. Every time he's on the ball he's thinking and making good choices. As someone further up said, he passed some fabulous crosses last night.

We needed that win and at least we're maintaining a fighting spirit when we're down. That's really positive. Onwards lads ๐Ÿ’ช

Last night proved once and for all the new place can be like the old stadium given the right circumstances. Itโ€™s still out thereโ€ฆ

It was hilarious watching the NT after the first goal going crazy and some flipping the bird to kids in the family zone and then the second, with my son next to me going "it's ok daddy it's still early wanderers will come back". Then as the game progressed and we started scoring the first, second and third goal they were dead quiet then you had the family zone giving it back.

I woke up and checked the results and yea it really happened.ย

Was the closest I have felt to nearly 10 years ago in the stadium, the tifo looked incredible from our seats and the extra little '10 years since you've been here' dig was a 'bold strategy cotton' at 1-2 down but how good, especially when you get the result like that.

For the good, Panta, Thomas, Cleur, Brillante and Kraev (WTF was his yellow about) they were all fantastic, with Kraev every week just showing what a baller he is.ย  I thought Sapsford and Borello did a lot of work and running but there wasn't a lot of quality there, I feel for Borello cos he works hard but things still are not falling for him, hopefully the goal and the Socceroos call up gets him going again, we are going to need him over in NZ.ย

The bench though, that's where we won it, got to give it to Staj when he made changes, they really make a difference to the game.ย  Gersbach and Antonssen have to be getting close to starting with Sapsford and Clisby both having the pressure on them and Mata just comes on and sprays pinpoint 30m passes around the park.

The best thing for me is we finally have that WSW mentality back, at 0-2 down last year and for most years before it, that game is gone.ย  Having said that if we give Auckland that many chances we will be going in4 down at half time.

Might have to thank the missus who wanted to do the NZ doubles as soon as she saw the draw and booked it all, I thought it would be a nice trip but never thought we would be in form and a chance of picking up some points so looking forward to it, never been to either stadium, so any advice appreciated, hopefully we can come home with a few points, 4 would be great.

You are very lucky, wish I was heading over to NZ for these games..

Looking for a 4 Point return at least from these games...it's realistic and would be good.

Panta can now add Melbourne Victory to the list alongside Melbourne City and South Melbourne to the teams he owns. I knew of his potential when he played NPL Vic for Oakleigh Cannons and we are seeing that potential come through. Immense performance from him last night along with Bonnetig

I was very critical of Borello throughout the whole game until he scored. Fair Play to him.ย

ย when we were still 2-1 down I had worries that Staj wasn't looking to make any changes but until Borello scored that equaliser there was no need to make changes for the sake of it, I thought he should have brought on Mata early on but I think he brought him on at the perfect time after the 85th minute, he had so much impact being involved with those 2 goals.ย

Milanovic has redeemed himself with a brilliant performance and him celebrating in front of the Victory fans was brilliant shithousery.

Now onto the games in NZย

I happened to have my daughters 21st last night., so couldn't get to the game. Yeh yeh, I know that's no excuse.

The match was not on the tele at the party, so I was checking my phone for updates. When I saw 0-2 I thought **** this, and then didn't check my phone again until about midnight.

OMG!!! I had to look at that for about 5 minutes to let it sink in. I couldn't believe it.ย

What a day to be alive!!!!! Oh, except for the massive ******* hangover I've got.ย

My son was like that at 2 - 0 down but told him to settle down. This side has goals in it and felt we were a good chance still...

But hmmm..yeah...on another day MV take those chances start second half when they dominated us for a period and we couldn't get out...but we hung in there well.....and that's the difference, they are playing for Staj and there is a togetherness in this squad the likes of such we haven't seen in a while...

Clisby needs a thanks and goodbye handshake at seasons end.

Like old times.

Gersbach was always the only SFC player i could bring myself to publically praise. He's such a great pick up. Our crossing in general has been better than the last few years anyway but he's a step up again.

I wonder if Popa has done us a favour in snubbing Milanovic. No scratch that i think he has. Boy was fired up but also a bit more controlled too. Real positive "**** you then" energy.

Same vibes for Gersbach and Brandon O'Neill. I had respect for them.

I feel he went into that game for two reasons: 1) He wants his spot back into the starting XI 2) Proving to Popa that deserves to be called up.

Ah the Sunday morning wake up and review, what a great F******** night ๐Ÿ˜„, the build up, the Tifo, the chanting, the atmosphere all brilliant ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

a nod here to MV and their support at least they turned up , fair play, you canโ€™t have a night like last night without decent opposition trying to win the game and their pantomime villain fans.

they were doing their job and took a two goal lead, now I would be very unhappy at this point, but saw and felt a composure coming from our boys that gave me hope (donโ€™t think I am alone here), going in 1-2 down wasnโ€™t that bad really, had a quiet feeling we were building up a response.

The block then BB, the subs the goals, the belief it was a tsunami of noise and emotion and it was bloody epic, absolutely top drawer night, go you Red & Black things of beauty, loving it ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
