As has been said already, their subs  v our subs. Their quality off the bench v ours. Antonsson v costa off the bench costa had positive impact, Antonsson in comparison..well.....it's been said already.......

Every block head on this forum knew we had defensive issues and Staj did sweet f--- all about it. His sole defensive signing, prior to Gersbach, rivals Rivals Aritz Borda and Seyi Adeleke for the worst foreign signings of the the decade.

Doesn't have to be a conspiracy, that's an odd thing to suggest. 

Just look at those 3 quotations i asked. It matters for this game, not talking about any others

Why sign Gersbach if the guy is basically unfit? He’s had what, 3-4 weeks to be match fit? What are we saving him for, a finals run thats not gonna happen?

I expected us to lose this game, if you you told me prior to kick off would you accept a draw I would have said yes, but seeing us up 3-1 early in the second half, I seriously expected us to go on to win this thing. 

4 very poor substitutions in the 2nd half changed everything. 

Brillante probably had his best game for us this season, he completely bossed the whole midfield, Cleur probably had his best game since joining us. 

Take those 2 off and replace them with 2 duds who are at best NPL players in Carluccio and Al-Taay, we started to lose the battle in the midfield. Then they bring on Segecic and Costa, that itself swings the game their way, Costa had so much freedom in the midfield that no one picked him up, he was able to run the ball, pick out passes and he was targeting Carluccio's side where he was at times caught out of position.

This game is on Stajcic, I watched his post match interview on Twitter and I believe that excuse does not hold up that he needs to look after the player's welfare, this is a **** Derby! Not a high school soccer game! Players are willing to play through pain barrier to win these kind of games!

Someone said on twitter that Stajcic has some sort of obsession of signing and playing NPL players at A-League clubs, he did this at CCM and he's now doing it with us, I don't know what point he's trying to prove but some NPL players are just not on the level they have to play A-League football.

When you consider what Brisbane got away with against us for more than 30 mins, that pisses me off to see LT get carded first warning.

Our 2nd and 3rd goals also felt like he begrudgingly went to VAR only cause the evidence on the big screen was irrefutable. Both times he looked as if he just wanted to play on and ignore it

Costa places the ball down. Thomas picks it up and literally runs over to the other side to place the ball down. Evans gives him a straight yellow. Thomas ain't obligated to take a goal kick where Costa places the ball. Farcical refereeing. 

Does anyone know what the foul count was. It seemed we got absolutely murdered by Evans. 

Not an excuse for us not seeing the game out, but the bias rankles...

I dont see how Staj can be happy with such a makeshift defence. Panta and Bonetig on their own are good players but they desperately need an experienced player next to them to guide them. There HAS to be a CB available and we might as well send Jeong back home!

Yeah, atmosphere was good.,…nice bit of pyro and the cops getting all angry and removing a few….just like old times eh.

We had the chances to be out of sight, if we were 5 - 1 up few could have complained. We actually played some good stuff at times, we pressed well, some good movement but just don’t have the experience in the backline or the mentality….experienced leadership is what is needed at times like that when 3 - 1 up with 10 to go away in a derby. We don’t have that, we have a soft a **** centre.

It's just I always feel we come away from these games feeling aggrieved by some referee decision.

I’m angry, really really angry about this point.

refs are not an excuse

we we’re 3-1 up and had them on toast!

we made our subs and invited Sydney back in and they got a point they didn’t deserve.

we lost all pressure up front and got rightfully punished being overrun in midfield again.

2 points dropped, this is so frustrating

It took a superhuman effort for us to find ourselves 3-1 up against a side who were dreadful for the majority of the game.

The players gave it their all, but they had to play so far outside their comfort zone we just collapsed right at the end there.

No petrol.

He's not even a development coach. He was gifted a bunch of great youth players at the Mariners. They won something like 6 straight to start the season and then the Stajic coaching crept in and they slipped to 3rd or 4th. Outside of a few good games in 1 season, he's been nothing but a bum.

He hasnt produce anyone outstanding for us. In Fact he was given the best young player in the league and managed to castrate him by playing him in the wrong place. Scicluna was the only real shining light of the season, but we've all seen that coming for a while.

Staj is the epitome of tactical ineptitude in the Aleague. Once all the games start to level out, only Jets, Glory and brisbane will finish below us. We have mostly the same batch of young kids as last season, and we're going backwards AGAIN. Staj isnt developing ****

Tbh, the last 3 games our held up on their own, regardless Marcelo or any experienced defender was playing or not, I doubt they wouldn't stopped the Smurfs onslaught.
