Apparently Perth Glory have more clean sheets than us this season:sad:

we arent winning a trophy this season - thats just the reality with the defence we have.

snag Degenek/ an influential CB with leadership and that changes things.

we should have beaten Brisbane at home weeks ago - if we cant do that, how can we seriously say we have a competitive squad for a trophy this season?

this game  has banana peel written all over it

agree.. if Stajic isn't bringing in a CB in the transfer window given we have a visa spot available, then he needs to go

The only trophy we have any hope of winning is a Grand Final. There's zero chance we're making up 9 points and a goal difference deficit to win the league. It'll be a miracle to finish 2nd or 3rd.

Adding one good player, some rejects and a mythical good foreign player even though they can't find a gig in Europe might not be enough to even get into the top 6.

I like how optimistic some people are we are going to win something. We aren't and that is regardless of the coach in charge with this squad. We are still a "work in progress". The positive is we can see a clear improvement in how the team is playing.

But its still a big gap between us and the top teams that have more balanced squads, we are too top heavy. CDM and CB are a major issue,  not enough quality or leadership to drag this team to a trophy. Making the 6 is the goal, and hopefully winning away to Perth can get us closer to that goal. But there is so much issues with the team Rudan left and the squad recruited to replace those that left.

We are not winning the GF from outside the top 2...

But who knows...maybe the Staj mad bastard all or nothing defense style football will fit cup football...would be entertaining i suspect.

I'd feel worse if they lost last game.

You should become an Evertonian

I thought I was the negative one. Auckland didn't exist last year and are top 3.

We are a CB and LB away from challenging

If we don't make the 6 then Stajic is a total and complete failure, 6 is the absolute minimum.

We won't finish top now and it's the A League who cares it's winning the GF. If we can get out act together in defence no reason we shouldn't give that a go.

i genuinely think if we can address CB, LB & CDM with improvements in those areas (getting the player is 1 job, getting them to be effective is another) - then we can definitely make the 6 and we could be that team that no one wants to play.  It would be nice for us to be that team that intimidates the rest of the league - i think our fans would love that as well.

Top 6 is definitely achievable and that should be the goal - we're on the fence currently at this point in the season - do we have the ability to say we are a team deserving to play finals? yes we are

the more we fix our defence, the more dangerous we become this season

lets get 3 points tonight

23c at kick off tonight. No weather to blame. Suspended players returning. Injured Scicluna is a big miss but it shouldnt matter, our NPL team could win this. The boss back on the sidelines. Not many excuses to be found... Huge loss locked in :D

But nah, should be 4-1. Id love a clean sheet but we cant keep a ball out to save our lives

We've got this!

Perth Glory 1 - WSW 4

We have NO issues creating chances and scoring.

Stop being a bunch of d1<ks and have faith in our team.

Ha ha sack the coach if he doesn’t get a centre back .:etc , lol maybe the club bosses say he can’t spend money , develop the kids and make it work with what you have , reading some of this like going from a chanting group of supporters to a frenzied mob demanding heads roll and sack em all 😃

Away to Perth is a graveyard for most teams 😀

We should take this comfortably, but we should have taken it comfortably most other times we've lost there too. Still, we should be right. Milanovic to score two. COYW!

It has been a while since I have had an active interest in the team, but I am in Perth so thought I would go along to the game. What should I expect? I can honestly say that so long as the food at the stadium is ok, I will consider it a good night. A Wanderers win would make it better, though.

The two redevelopments in 2012 & 2023 made it a pretty modern place especially if you're going to be in or near the away bay as the two sides of that corner were the ones most improved.

If you mean on the pitch, who knows.

We might lose by 8 or win by 10. Probably the only thing I wouldn't expect is a 0-0 draw, which this post is likely going to make a certainty.
