I think its more telling he was the best we could get. And then the recruitment has been terrible.

 

I keep saying it that midfield needed reinforcements. Its a clear weak point. Thats on the club as much as its on Staj.

Am I wrong...didn't we buy two attacking midfielders and we don't play either of them there.

That's on Staj.

Completely agree with the sentiment. Hats off to Mata though, he dropped very deep to pick up the play a few times. He realised his CMs were completely incapable of getting him the ball through the press. On 3 occasions he waved Brillante forward when we were in possession. Mata got on the ball in 2 of those circumstances and threaded a pass that started an attack. He going to have to do that a lot with our midfield

Based on the first two rounds I’m still glad we got Staj over ‘pressing guru’ Zdrilic, but a lot of work required if we are to be good.

Zdrila got found out that coaching in the A-League is not the same as coaching in the NPL but he will eventually get things right with them.

It’s like that old joke…how do you know if someone went to Oxford or Cambridge………Because they will tell you.

Same with the fans of any big side.

Is Stajcic capable of turning this club around?

On the early evidence which included Australia cup games and the first few rounds of the league. I have to say NO. 

Why ? Well it's quite obvious isn't it. Poor recruitment, poor team structure, Poor tactics , absolutely no improvement what's so ever from last season etc., etc. etc.

I really hope I'm wrong and he can turn it around, but I honestly can't see it

Thats Stajic's fault. We needed Cbs and CMs desperately. He signed a single CB who had major questions around him. He's made his bed, time to lie in it

Give him time, extend him, warn him, sack him… makes zero ******* difference as shown with the other several managers we’ve burned through. At this point in time it’s completely trivial who our manager is cause it makes zero difference anyway.

What dumbfounds me is why persist with playing wing backs as attacking options. Keep them at the back to defend. While on that Clisby shouldn't be a starter.

Play with a dedicated attacking midfielder either Mata or Kraev.

Also wingers should be the ones to attack and put crosses in in the final third.

For me we should playing a front three.

But it doesn’t take a Mata to realise that Staj is tactically inept and lacking in leadership qualities.

I wouldn't trust anything from that account. It posts stale gossip or info already out in public to pretend to be "in the know", along with insane parody/joke tweets.
