He was supposed to go to Sydney FC on a permanent deal, we where going to get Burgess in return. Burgess however didnt want to come and wanted to annoy the Sydney FC people that had stuffed him around, so he said he would stay at Sydney until the end of the season when he is off contract.

glad we didn't. Yet another player that plays well for 1 game and then is invisible for the next 4 or 5 games.

Simmons call up is interesting as his performance in the NPL squad has been a little underwhelming lately. He gives off vibes that he doesn't want to be at the club and personally I don't blame him feeling that way due to not even being selected for the A-League squad.

Frankly, if Badalato isn't on the team list, can't really see why Simmons, since coming back from injury, would be. As others have said, he hasn't exactly shone when he's been on the park.

Weirdly you get th vibe the Stajinator doesn't really fancy Simmons much injury aside he's barely been in the team and to be fair to Stajilious when he has been in he's been far his best

He signed a 2 season contract extension in the middle of last season, then Rudan gets pushed out and the new guy would rather bring back Jarrod Carluccio from the 2nd worst team in the league. If Stajcic stays and never changes his mind on Simmons, that's 2 years down the drain in a youth team (I assume he's getting frozen out and isn't involved with the first team, that he's been in for 3 years) who will be lucky to survive relegation this season instead of playing A-League. And the only solution will be getting mutual and that could end up with him being dumped out of pro football while not getting paid for the last year of his contract.

I don't get the Carluccio signing at all. Ok we were short at right back with Cleur injured but Simmons is a better right back that Carluccio (both are converted midfielders) and Badalatto is a better midfielder than Carlouccio. We basically have signed a guy who can play 'ok' in 2 positions, but isn't a starter in either and has less potential than the younger options we already had.

I've got a feeling that Staj had the intentions to use Carluccio off the bench and then replace either play as a left back replacing Clisby or replace Kraev as a left winger. Staj used him a lot at Glory so he obviously rates him. Carluccio is left footed (yet he gets mainly used as a right back or right winger). I would rather have him on the left side of the field.

Carluccio is an ok player off the bench but there's better options ahead of him.

Carluccio is an ok player off the bench but there's better options ahead of him.

Left back is Gersbach 

Carluccio can replace Priestman or Brillante in midfield

I think this is what dropped him down the pecking order along with being injured at the start of the season. Staj doesn't want to use him at RB and would rather use him as a RW, while its his "natural position" his best position is RB and yet Cluer is actually having a really good season, and Panta as a utility. How quick football changes.

Im not massively concerned about the performance stuff. I thought he'd been generally pretty good at Sydney, if lacking some self control. My biggest concern with him is that he seems to end every relationship he has very poorly. I cant remember last time he left a club on good terms.

Threw tanties at Olympic
Fell out with the Nix coaching staff
Froze himiself out of WU and refused to play for a whole season because they wouldnt give him a transfer
Now he's playing politics with SydneyFC to scfew them over

Now, I dont care that he's screwing them. But it's like a girl that cheats on her fella with you... She did it to him, shes gonna do it to you...

I know all the talk early in the season was that he was going to promote the youth rather than overseas players, but so far Badolato has left, Simmons has been dropped to NPL, Barrie hasnt been sighted in the 20 man squad at all, Cameron played 1 game, number 49 played 30 seconds. But yet we signed Carluccio, Al Tay who arent any better than the young kids and Laws who hasnt been sighted? We lost the younger Nuiewonhoff to Roar who looks handy and in the games I watched looked better than Al Tay and Pelekanos! Just interesting the club are saying one thing and yet the opposite seems to be happening?

Bonetig, Panta, Scicluna, Priestmann, Sapsford, Hammond.

Out of that lot only Priestmann had notable first team action with Rudan, Bonetig was in and out last season in favour of Beadling.

Younis had a 2 year extension before leaving could return next season unless PSV decide to buy. Badolato as well contract expires next season which means he should return unless mutual termination occurs. We were talking earlier why we don't make use of the loan rules well we have with 2 players now.

You are talking either China (Borello) or Middle-East (Panta, Hammond, Priestman). The only distance traveller is Kraev.

Staj may rotate the starting line up depending on how Priestmann, Panta and Kraev come back. The game in Wellington is at 3pm AEST on Saturday March 29th. We may see Laws and Pelekanos step in and even Antonsson up front depending on Borello and how many minutes he gets.
