hopefully it was only a 1 season signing. Waste of an import. I think we only started with 1 import on Sunday.

At best he's injury cover now. the kids are doing all right got us to top 4 and are the future. Not much point in giving game time to someone who won't be here next year

I saw a wanderer once on the Great North Walk. I don't know if he was limping, I do wonder though...

Besides, what are you doing braking an ankle? Don't you know that you are getting a bit too old for freerunning? Get better soon, will ya?

Not to worry. Whatever caused it wasn’t noticed when it happened a few weeks ago. Some ongoing discomfort at times. Mentioned it to my GP when getting scripts renewed. Referred for ultrasounds and x rays. Stopped going for morning runs, kept doing morning exercises, with variations, kept doing walks with Mrs Ed. After X-rays today "You do know you have a fracture? See your doctor soon. Take it easy." I'm already booked in for Thursday.  From a physical  perspective, I'm now vegetating.

Morning runs - jeez, what's the matter with you? Because you being careless you are now not available as replacement should sapsford be out with injury. We are doomed!

Does Jeong even get into the team? I think Laws is the one the club is trying to get fit for the squad. He is closest to return. Have no idea why the club just didn't end the loan for Jeong back in January. All reports were he was to return at the end of January. Its March now.

Ahhh...sorry to hear that Ed....yeah I fractured my arm last year so can relate to the discomfort. When I went for a scan at the hospital they had to get my arm above my head...oh..the ******* pain! And the doc in a thick Aussie accent saying "look..mate...if we don't get your arm up you are going to get a **** load of radiation you don't need through your middle"...OK then lol  Then he says "ok...hold it there until we say"....******* agony every second....

Came out of the room and my wife was like "what were they doing to you in there!"  I said it's ok...I told them nothing! 

Still hursts some days almost 8 months on.

Nope, there's no way back for him into the team. Even if there is an injury to one of them, Brillante can cover and he has done well to cover at CB.

I asked this earlier and I think Mack mentioned that the club may have been paid to take him on loan or the club has paid for his loan

Forgot about Laws.

Yep Jeong is now 5 choice 

Might be a player in there but even pre injury he didn't show anything, he's not here next season and even with what's left of this season is going to take time to get up to speed.

Unless we have injuries and suspension we ain't seeing that cat again.

Stajcic’s line ups seem pretty much set, this year and beyond.

When Klopp took over Dortmund in 09/10 he threw in Subotic and Hummels as CBs, both 20 at the time. They made a few mistakes in their first year, but Klopp stuck with them, and it paid off. I am not saying that Bonetig and Panta have that kind of quality, but their performances are very promising, and they are only going to get better from here. It will be interesting if or when he gives Laws a run. There doesn’t seem a pressing need right now.

 Carluccio Al-taay and Gersbach are used as utilities/squaddies, it tells me that Stajcic trusts the core group, and surprisingly that includes Clisby.

After the post season awards night I expect the departures of Jeong, Brilliante, Clisby, Antonsson, and perhaps Mata to be announced. Hold on to Sapsford and Mila, throw in a fit Scicluna, and we will have the most talented squad of young domestic players the AL has ever seen. We won’t have to worry much about hit and miss imports next season.

Absolutely. Staj is building something very good here. I would actually keep Brillante and Clisby.  As long as they are content to be squad players and help mentor the younger guys I think they are worth having around.

I'm not sure gersbach is a squadie he's clearly been brought in as first choice LB but wasn't fit when he got here and this has coincided with an uptick in Clisbys form, Staj would be a twat to drop Clisby while he's in this form. Gersbach just needs to be patient his time will come.

We have a team that will go out and give us a fighting chance of getting something out of the match. Our young locals are thriving under Staj and on our day we can beat anyone. But yes, this is football and this is the Wanderers. I'll be there to cheer the boys on and what will be will be.

Clisby will be gone end of the year. Not sure how I feel about it since 4 weeks ago most of us we're ready to have him strapped to a rocket and sent hurtling into the sun. Since then, he's far more solid

I think everyone, Staj and gersbach including expected Gersbach to be playing at this point, but we've massively stemmed the bleeding at the back, so lets not change anything. But Clisby has always put in the odd killer game but consistency has been a problem his whole career. I'd say one bad game will have him relegated to filling the water bottles. I think we must be the only team in the league where we are having selection issues at left back due to 2 players performing well rather than 2 players sucking
