mack Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 Carluccio is a converted fullback. Badolato is only an attacker who hasn't shown much to suggest he will make it at A-League level and he is behind Milanovic, Kraev, Hammond, Sapsford, Antonsson, Temelkovski, Borrello and Carluccio. bozwanderer 1

Right so we have swapped one player who hasn't quite shown himself to be a league level for another older player who has shown himself to be a bog standard A League level player at best but as he's played full back a couple of times File under completely pointless GunnerWanderer 1
StringerBellend Posted February 13 Posted February 13 For mine Badalto is a better player and has far more potential. Carluccio as a full back? Why didn't we actually sign a fullback? Or use Simmons matty 1

Would have been better off having a dig at a random NPL player for the same position.

I was hoping for big things for him about 2-3 seasons ago and then he's just never really amounted to much more since then. Other players have come in and taken the similar role and performed, so he's stuck down a lower rank. I'd expect we let him contract run out and taking a punt on another youth coming through. dodson Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) There have been three instances this season where Simmons was directly responsible for giving up goals. In the preseason cup game where we were eliminated by Adelaide, Kitto was played through on their left hand side. Both he and Simmons where shoulder to shoulder. Simmons offered little resistance and got shoved off the ball resulting in the winner and elimination. In the intrasquad preseason match Simmons tried shepherding a ball back to the GK, Priestman basically shoved him aside and scored. Against Auckland in the dying seconds he played a ball off his knee instead of clearing it. The ball was stolen by Auckland and it resulted in the last second winner. I like the guy and want him to do well but I can see why he isn't picked and why the staff dont have confidence in him. He has been poor this season with the opportunities he has been given. He's not a right back. Playing him at right back was a band aid solution and to be fair to him he probably deserves a crack higher up the pitch. When he was playing right back under Rudan, what sticks in my mind about him was his ability to attack, particularly running at players. Not his defensive work. If (and thats a big if) all our defenders get to be match fit, hopefully we won't see him there again and he gets more game time in his correct position. MartinTyler, EmMac, sonar and 2 others 5
immortalshogun Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Badolato is no big loss imo but the move makes no sense. He’s probably last choice in a stacked attack at our club and would probably be last choice at Victory too. Kid had promise maybe 2 seasons ago but he keeps failing to impress

Yeah he was at his best when mrcela and marcelo were behind him. The cracks in his game were plastered over by the best CB pairing in the league at the time We can't afford to have anyone less than Cleur at RB for now, he's a much more well rounded option andypk 1

mack Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago Those seem like guesses, or perhaps computer generated. I highly highly doubt Ben Holliday was getting 150k a season. If he was he wouldn't have mutually terminated his contract. Temelkovski is not getting 200k.
Upthehill Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Temelkovski on more than Brillante I think not Club sources confirmed Mata as 350k Think this might be doing aggregation from so weird and not so wonderful sources

WHACKO Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Sapsford compared to Temelkovski had me wondering I must admit.
StringerBellend Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I doubt Clisby is on that much, if he is good luck to him.
