Especially with a yellow card in the first minute of the game. Definitely Wanderers material.

Would Carlucio be signed for the rest of the season or multi year? Hopefully not the latter, even though Clisby is most likely gone after this season. We really need to be making some good signings for next season, and Carlucio would be a bad start.

Not all our squad are going to be five star players. If we can get a player who wants to be here like Carluccio does, I'd take him. We need guys like this who aren't starters but are with the club for long periods of time like a Leigh Broxham at victory. If he can fill in once in a while as a starter or off the bench and he can give us a 6/10 performance even better.

Do we not have any npl players who can do that though?

We have plenty in the NPL that can do this, a really good crop coming through. Keep an eye out for the Hoffs younger brother and a young attacker who looks good.

Cameron and Badolato can both do this as well. Cameron was more than solid in the Aus cup games he played and got thrown under the bus in his a league debut, he will get better with more game time. Badolato played well last year when given his chances, they are both still so young

I imagine Carluccio will be a direct replacement for Holliday who has asked to leave. Although he is now starting for Perth so why come now? I noticed his agent has advertised he wants to move overseas

We have an import who is yet to hit the dizzy heights of 6/10

Our academy no not really. In NSW NPL all clubs in the league Matt Hatch by a country mile, but he is always injured which is unfortunate.

Dumb question:

Is there any chance that Perth would pay part of Carluccio's salary to offload him?

Or would WSW be signing him on a free transfer?

Carluccio is 'fine' not the most exciting signing but he's decent and probably getting better, but unless they are converting him into a left back it's more cover for a position that we have plenty of cover. Not really going to make much difference.

We loaned him to Perth, they then signed him and now happy to let him go.

We were happy to let him go now want him back. He's a winger and we really need a left back and maybe another centre back.

None of this makes sense to me.

Possibly has more to do with Rudan's perspective versus Staj's, both having worked with him and both with different styles.

I think this has big part to play in the signing. Most of Carluccio's minutes at Perth came from Staj's time so he know what he is getting. And I am more convinced he is coming in as a LB. Left footed and the time he was with us we did put him at RB, I think his debut was at RB and it wasn't until later that that we had him as a winger. Holliday is also rumored to be leaving now, I believe Staj will roll the dice with Carluccio at LB and drop Clisby.

Carluccio coming back really doesn’t bother me as he couldn’t be that expensive to sign on again. Staj made some comments in an interview (think its on the WSW instagram page) where he suggests theres more than one player coming in, so hopefully we have a CB joining us as well.

I think we are still in line for the Uzbeki DM player from Rubin Kazan. This would use up our Visa signings so Carluccio again just makes sense if you aren't going for Brad Smith the only decent Aussie LB that is a free agent.  Deng is out he joined Hutchinson team in J2 and Degenek, well Victory have entered the race for his signature but he still preferring Europe. Aside from that I don't know if we are reaching out to other Aussie CBs. Club looks set to use the final visa place for CDM.

We are desperate for a CB even if the Korean dude gets fit and turns out to be what we need (which is optimistic at best). We are still short Bonetig is our senior centre back (and has he played a full season yet?)

If we go signing more midfielders and wingers to add to the collection and still leak goals, then that's another season wasted.

Maybe he thinks Brillante can stay at CB if we get a CDM?

Maybe we can offload the Korean dude and get someone in?

CB is a bigger problem than LB.

What's Jack Rodwell up to ;)

This would would be Bonetig first season full season, last season he was in an out rotating with Beadling. I think he has done great, we just need a leader next to him.

Possibly Brillante at CB. The Uzbeki CDM we have been chasing since before Scicluna's injury and we are thin at CDM. I think the club won't waste a visa spot at CB because of Jeong, they are just going stick with him. He isn't the answer though I think we can all agree I don't see him much better than Panta who has done an excellent job for us.

I looked at transfer market and the only other Free agent Aussies Available for CB outside of Degenek, is Tass who is being chased by Perth and Josh Laws who left Grasshopper. Lachlan Jackson another one to look at but apparently he is injured. Slim pickings.

One thing in our favour in the chase for Degenek is Victory still have Diles as a caretaker and haven’t sorted out their permanent manager.

You’d assume a player like Degenek would be guaranteed to start no matter who’s in charge, but it’s always a risk to sign for a club just as they are potentially changing direction.

No idea on the money situation but you’d think we’re an easier sell. He can come back to western Sydney where he played youth football, we have a permanent manager in place, and we’re actually playing decent football other than at the back so if he does his job were suddenly a much better team.

The ethnicity factor would help Staj's case aswell I'd think
