When he's drifted inside by himself, he looks outstanding. When he the guy who has to make the movement into space, and be the outlet/option, he doesnt look anywhere near as potent. We could find guys in our academy who could do that job just as well. There a very few in the league who play the classic #10 as well as him. This 442 wastes so many players best capability. Borello was on fire as a lone 9, instead of dropping off the line. Mila looks fantastic pinned high and wide on the left. Kraev ratting around the middle would be amazing. Priestman, Brillante and Scicluna would only be reaquired to venture forward in rare occasions. On Borello agree he was doing we as striker in front of a 3. But if we went to a 4 2 3 1 where would you put sapsford who for mine has been totally ace upfront

Russell couldn't control a football, pass or cross (or position in himself) before the injury. We seemed to have built a myth that he could. He basically ran up and down a lot the injury slowed that GE942150 1

That aside in your opinion you think he is a good footballer? Edited 2 hours ago by StringerBellend

I did like him at Wanderers but after his injury he did struggle to get game time but at Western United he is getting weekly game time , but it must be hard for a team to have a fella who at best could make a long distance runner as runs up down the sideline all game , how good could Western United be if they had a decent full back , wonder why Aloisi keeps playing him , the mysteries of Myths PS do I think he is good footballer well my opinion don't count but a very experienced soccer bloke called John Aloisi must to keep playing him.

You got upset when I say players aren't good enough, but then later say Staj needs time to rebuild our defence and all will be well when gersbach and the Wookie are there. Russell is basically a right sided younger Jack Clisby (arguably without the crossing) Jerome Polenz now there was a right back Edited 1 hour ago by StringerBellend MathyouWSW 1

Ok maybe not the perfect example but it feels like players who succeed elsewhere come to us and then .. oh.. The import centre forward from the nix, Steven urgagovic, Terry Antonis ..

On Russell it's good to see him getting game time and making a decent career, never really could fault his effort.
