Sithslayer1991 Posted Tuesday at 10:58 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:58 AM Lol the list people came up with explains why Clisby is still around Not many LBs around. The good ones are already taken and the best Aussies are overseas. And not many recruited LB as their Visa signing. Kasey Bos, De Vries and Behich are the best ones in the A-league. Kitto and Muragis I would put above Clisby but they are also a limited players StringerBellend 1

Kitto and Muragis I would put above Clisby but they are also a limited players I'd take limited right now It's a great thread though isn't it? So roughly though Clisby is in the bottom maybe middle of A League left backs. As much as he drives me nuts, we can cope with him if we can get the rest of the defence sorted. Unfortunately we have inexperienced CBs (with good potential) and/or a import centre back with a decent CV who prior to being injured wasn't playing well due to not being very good / being out on the pingers / playing injured / temp form slump / still getting to know team mates (delete as appropriate). Cleur at RB is good although for mine has a bad habit of giving very soft free kicks away and occasionally switching off. I dig Simmons but he isn't really a fullback Edinburgh 1

We are fine for Centre midfield, granted we could better but it is far from our biggest problem

The counter point is that he is at the end of his use by date as well and older than Clisby. Against Victory it looked like we actually targeted Traore specifically, because from that back line he is the weak link for Victory. 23 hours ago, SBW said: I rate De Vries as the best LB in the A-League at the moment, We should have signed De Vries last season when he was playing in the NZ League with Eastern Suburbs. We barely go for NSW NPL, we were never going to go for a player that plays in the NZ leagues otherwise we would have gotten Brian Kaltak.

We aren't winning any games with Mata at CM. Badolato still has a decent amount of maturing to do and I have questions around his defensive capability. Currently rumours floating around about Tommy Deng too, which would be a great snag StringerBellend and sonar 2

If we get Deng at CB then by all means use the visa spot on a ace CM, but we need to sort CB andypk and matty 2
