Yeah this season has been a small improvement on last, as long as we are excluding his double air swing last week

Ran out of steam in the dizzy heights of the opposition penalty area. :xnod:

A few short years ago we were struggled putting any young players on the pitch, and when we did the response was too often "oh dear oh dear oh dear". This year is very different. Bonetig, Scicluna, Zapsford, Pelekanos, Priestman, Panta, Hammond - there's an AL player in each and one of them.

I for my part am very happy with what the coaching group has done with this squad.

I’ve said it a few times but I think Brillante has been good this season.

Fotmob have started doing that thing Opta does where they compare a player to others in the same position. He’s in the top 95% for successful passes, 93% for pass accuracy, and 84% for how infrequently he’s dispossessed.

Defensively he’s top 66% for tackles, 84% for tackle success rate and 88% for duels won.

Degenek received his first offer after leaving Red Star

Miloš Degenek left Red Star again after a third term in which he hardly played. Initially, he was out of Barak Bahar's plans, and then he suffered a serious injury that kept him out for a long time. He was also not in Vladan Milojević's plans, and the termination of cooperation was the most natural solution.

As reported by Mozzart Sport , the first offer for Degenek comes from Australia, where the Sydney Wanderers are looking for a centre-back. However, as the same source reports, Degenek would like to stay in Europe in order to impress the Australian coach and return to the national team.

lg.php?bannerid=0&campaignid=0&zoneid=72The Sydney team's coach is Alen Stajčić, and the assistant coach is former All-Star Miloš Ninković.

F*ck I hate it when european websites say "Sydney Wanderers". Add the "WESTERN" to it, please.

Anyhow, that is great news.

Not sure why he'd need to stay in Europe to get in Popas good books. He was born in the right country... Look at the absolute chaff Popa picks from Victory and Bulls. How Vilupilay is getting game time over Mila I'll never know.

It's the A-League, quite a few things need to fall in place for a transfer from Europe to work, the salary cap just being one of them. The import message is that we are in the market for a CB.
