Yea we haven't solved the ball progression problem. Expecting turnovers in the first 20 minutes and Smurfs camping outside the goal like last time. We can't do what the Jets did either because we don't move the ball fast enough and we don't have same pace as the Jets front line aside from Pierias and starting him is like playing Russian roulette.

Our obsession with playing out from the back Gumby style is a big part of this.

A smarter forumite than me described it as being like SAP drill for keep ball rather than actual football

i think we will do better than last derby but this is going to be a difficult one, somehow we could manage to go worse though

Yea I don't expect a great travelling attendance here. While RBB are still negotiations and police and keep ghosting them its still unsafe to go to the game without risk of a juiced up cop deciding to play WWE.

And of course apathy from the rest of us after that derby game.

Pierias at centre forward can be no worse than Antonsson and he may bring Borello back to some form

I would not dismiss Rudan toyed in his head of putting Pierias at wing back

Rudan has a team full of young kids, scoring goals for fun, their confidence is no doubt at an all time high, surely now is the chance to give them a go and see what they can do with Milanovic and Brook both out? Even if its 20-30 minutes of the bench

First I have missed at the place in the city. Will be watching with my old man here in Yorkshire though :xnod:

Why is RBB still protesting it would be good if they could put aside the issue for the moment and try and help us get a result

Protests are less effective if you only do them when it's convenient for everyone else.

Because if coppers decide they saw something (anti-social) they can do what they did last derby and start fights with everyone and reinstate the previous 5 bans.

Everyone says come and support the team. How can you do that when your safety is at risk because a juiced up copper wants to play UFC. What are the guarantees from security and cops that the previous derby scenario doesn't happen? How is this difficult to understand?

Yes but it seems the issue and RBB’s lack of attendance is becoming accepted and forgotten by the general public and is more like ‘arrr well not here again ‘

Going back to the Gombau era?

Rudan won't do it anyway, he decided the younger players needed less pressure on them & the seniors needed to step up after the City loss.

We might get Hammond, Sapsford, Blair or Younis on the bench but with Milanovic & Brook out I'm not sure one of them will start except maybe Badolato who has been the preferred younger player to start.

He is probably worse than Sotirio but other than Antonsson or some kids ( Gombau style) who else he may cause them enough disruption to give Borello some room or are you still hoping for your season long believe that Antonsson will come good

You are kidding, Pieras is Sotirios Mk II

Fast

But that's about it

it would be a funny coincidence if we finish 6th and Pieras gets a red in the elimination final

So Coppers and Venues NSW want active of both sections to wear wrist bands for the derby on the weekend

It's already a nightmare getting into the stadium, two sets of security. One at the main gate, then another before you actually enter the stadium proper. Let's add wrist bands now to make it even more challenging, perhaps anklets would be more in order for wsw as we are all regarded as criminals anyway..

Im glad I decided not to go this time !!

The issue is safety.

The coppers have made it completely unsafe for football fans to enjoy watching their teams safely.

The security measures by both NSW police and venues NSW are putting in place for this Derby is totally unsafe where a crowd crush will ensue for both sets of fans at the gates.

David Gallop will finally have his wish to destroy active support

Pretty accurate observation really. DP might be on par or worse than sotirio with passing and end product. But he does get into very good spaces and stretch the back line. Then you have to rely on a roll of the dice he can feed Borello/Antonsson anything useable. Especially that Joel King will be playing LB, he's been fking horrible this season

I've been 'off the air' generally for the last 48 hours......so is the wrist band thing applicable to the RBB as well as the Cove?

SFC/Cove statement said it applied to both active support. But I've seen nothing other than their statement
