SBW Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 (edited) If the club were serious about our women's team, they should sign Chidiac. She would massively improve our team Edited November 20, 2023 by SBW Sithslayer1991 and 102megan 2

102megan Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 We're now sitting at FIVE season-ending ACL injuries, for FIVE weeks. Nat Tobin (Sydney FC - Round One: SYDvWSW) Grace Kuilamu (Brisbane Roar - Training Session) Grace Wisnewski (Wellington Phoenix - Round Three: WELvBRI) Holly McNamara (Melbourne City - Round Five: NEWvMCY) Chelsea Blissett (Brisbane Roar - Round Five: BRIvWUN)

She had already been out for a while with an undisclosed injury, so I'm not sure that it's an ACL. Either way, still not good. Edit: It's an ankle injury. Still season-ending though, and still not good. Edited November 22, 2023 by 102megan Adding more info.

Sithslayer1991 Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 sooo any sport science people here that can explain how long it will take before we start seeing a reduction in knee injuries in the women's side of the game?

Not a sports science person, but a woman... I think we're still a long long way away from things improving for women's health / injuries in general, a long way away for things to be taken seriously.

dodson Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 I think for Sarina Bolden it's more of a lifestyle choice. During her time with us she met a girl and developed a serious relationship with. They've been living together in the Wollongong region since our last campaign finished and she even played for Illawarra in the women's NPL in the lead up to the world cup. It seems they both prefer the beach lifestyle. 102megan 1

I personally love the three days notice. If you look up "incompetence" in the dictionary, you'll find the WSW logo. Update - Not that the club's announced it yet , but the APL's sent the update and the official calendar's been updated. WSW women look to have rescheduled a differing match to Carrington Park, Bathurst - Friday 9th February against Newcastle Jets. Such a senseless decision, to have the Bathurst fixture on a Friday night. 😤😤 Do they (whoever they is!) not want fans to attend?? From either fanbase??? marron, Edinburgh and mack 3

102megan Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Milly Clegg's goooooone. Not that the club have or would provide paying members or fans, any update of that. My assumption is that she's back to New Zealand, to work on her injury? (once again, not that the club has even advised us that she's injured - she just stoped being named in the match day line-ups). Apparently she's still on contract - but yeah, left us.
mack Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Clegg got named in the mid-week squad listing for our match vs Perth last week. It's possible she was recovering from the injury and has only just come back to training and earn a spot back on the bench.

I mean, those mid-week squads have been including multiple players who are out with medium term injuries (not that the club’s actually provided any confirmation or communication on that though). mack 1
