Ok so this is still rumour because it hasn't hit Scottish/British media. May be just speculation.

Yeah, taking it with a grain of salt.

Hmmm its just weird because if it concerns Celtic or Rangers even a tiny whisper its all over the pages in Scotland. So can't be confirmed until Scottish media start saying it. For all we know it may have been a scout from Celtic that is having a look at him or any other players down here.

Definitely hampered by injuries. However the rumour is that they were poorly mismanaged by Sydney, which soured the relationship between Nieuwenhof and the club. Sounded like he was kept out of the game because of the mismanagement a lot more than he should've been.

He is a talent though, I hope he can flourish under a different environment and reach his potential.

20th March 2023 - Best midfielder in the league

Hoff is unlucky in term of the national team perspective. We are so stacked with midfielders he is facing a similar issue to Brimmer last season, however Hoff's age has also played a part. Aiden O'Neil gets ahead of him because he is ineligible for the Olympic squad and would be the main contender for that spot for Hoff. Haven't even included Genreau, Jeggo and Kenny Dougal in the conversation.

FFA plan since the 2021 Olympics is now to really make true go for U23 squad to make Olympics in the future, this is an agenda pushed by Arnold because of what he did in the world cup promoting a lot of Olympians into the world cup squad. Hoff has already been targeted as essential to the Olympic squad because he is locally based, at the right age and can make genuine push for our boys not to just qualify but get out of the group.

So he goes into the Olympic squad camp, I think he only makes the senior squad if there is a big injury crisis or he goes overseas and has a season similar to Baccus to make the squad.

Still a chance for the Asian cup 2024 but just saying its very competitive to get into those midfield positions.

He just needs that move to Europe preferably the top 5 leagues, not the Scottish league where I think the standards is just on par with the A-League.

But if not the top 5 leagues, then the English Championship or the 2nd division of the Bundeliga wouldn’t be bad moves for him where I think his development would excel

I agree with Arnie here. Feels like for ages the goal of the national youth teams was to prepare players for the senior team by ignoring results and focusing on the curriculum. That's why they never win anything. Arnie's approach of trying to win regardless of the opposition might result in a few demolitions, but it also means you get results like beating Argentina at the Olympics, which then means the players you bring in from there aren't scared to try it again at a World Cup against the senior team.

So Scottish media again comming through on news around Hoff. The deal is all but done awaiting Work permit which may take a few weeks as it did with Baccus last year. According to their reports a 6 figure sum was indeed agreed between the clubs for the Hoff. Schneiderlin has also come out in support of Hoff descrining his play style and why he will succeed with Hearts.

Sad for us supporters.:sorry:

Happy for him. Deserves it. :D

One of the highlights of last season.

He will be missed.

We can only hope we get an equally talented replacement.
