Remember the 50 over SCG game after the 2002/3 ashes series. Security were ripping down the snakes then. It got pretty tasty in the stands and after that game that night lol Worse than anything seen at a wanderers game. Prob the only time in Australia I felt I had to keep my mouth shut, head down and just head for the exit lol sonar and marron 1 1
marron Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 My favourite days cricket was on the hill right next to the barmy army I think 98 or 99, Waugh twins turned it on all day, then Gough got a hat trick, things were getting messy all round by the end of the day. Smoggy and Wanderboy 2

Wanderboy Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Michael Vaughan was quite angry today on Fox that the Poms were only represented on the field at the presentation by their captain Joe Root. The rest of the team left the field and were in the dressing room. And Vaughan was right. This raises two issues. Firstly, that is the height of poor sportsmanship, one thing I didn't think the Poms were into. Secondly, it shows a complete disrespect to their captain, who really is the only player carrying this team. To throw him to the wolves at the Ashes winning presentation in a Boxing Day test is appalling from this group as a whole. It shows the lack of respect they have towards Root as captain, and more so, how team unity has reached rock bottom. Worst Pom team to visit these shores in my lifetime by far. I go back to the early 70's. marron and sonar 2

Unlimited Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 I have never been to England nor played cricket at any serious level (I did play indoor cricket at school though), however I would like to put my hand up to bat at like #6 or something for the rest of the series [to be clear, for England]. I reckon I could do better than their lot. Second innings scores: Dawid Malan: 0 (1) Jack Leach: 0 (2) Mark Wood: 0 (3) Ollie Robinson: 0 (2) I reckon I could last at least 5 balls (if they don't aim at the stumps). I'd just Rahul Dravid the thing and blockathon as much as possible. Soft hands, so hopefully the edges don't carry. All I ask in return is that I get promotional pictures taken so I can use it as part of my dating profile - so I can put on my Tinder bio something like "Former Test Cricketer" which I think would go down really well with the ladies sonar 1

Smoggy Posted January 5, 2022 Author Posted January 5, 2022 (edited) I am surprised Cummings didn't send England in to bat. England are always likely to collapse and the chance they will be knocked over for 50 to 80 runs. With time in this test limited due to the weather Australia could have already had England 7 or 8 down now, or even all out. Game could already have been much more progressed. Or is it that you want your bowlers to have a rest

Or is it that you want your bowlers to have a rest The pitch usually deteriorates and makes it better for bowlers as they can take advantage of cracks etc. It varies widely depending on the ground and the conditions. But yes, giving the bowlers a rest is also a factor. Plus turning the screws and posting an insurmountable lead. Wanderboy 1
sonar Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 At least the Eng supporters have a sense of humor......from a live stream with chat.......... " the English team on paper is a man's dream, you start with wood, get a broad and finish with a root"................ Smoggy 1
Unlimited Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 I haven't watched a single ball of this test. So boring. Just looked at the score now, 8d./416. Apparently Starc is averaging 75 with the bat this series. Pathetic.

Davo Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Boland following up his debut 6/7 with current figures of 2/0. His total test career stats are 9/55 off 126 deliveries. Also England are now 4 down and 380 runs behind, with their highest innings total of the series a 297.
StringerBellend Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I feel for Broad Anderson and wood they have tried hard bowled pretty well with no support from fielders, the useless jack leach and now the batsmen

Embarrassing how a national Test cricket side is being destroyed single-handedly by some random sixth choice bowler no one had really heard of two weeks ago Pathetic. Still haven't watched a ball of this Test.
StringerBellend Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Can't help but feel happy for Johnny Bairstow there, look at how happy is..that's ace fought his well into the side and scored a very good 100 Edinburgh 1
