Whichever foreigners we sign will probably now wait until November to arrive. All forms of quarantine now scrapped for NSW arrivals if fully vaxed and have a negative test. More common sense prevailing.

But let's looked on the positive side, they should be fully fit by Easter. That's how it usually works.

Popa isn't the head coach these days, so playing by February is possible.

latest update on stadiums now we are at 80% double Vax...

Major recreation facilities (including stadiums, theme parks, and race courses) open with density limits for up to 5,000 people, or by exemption.

:sorry:

if stays in place to include first game against smurfs very ordinary.

Exemption  ?

They've already confirmed 75% capacity for the Matildas games, so it would obviously continue for the A League as well.

CommBank Stadium has been announced as 75% capacity. This applies to the stadium instead of individual events.

Ok so we can let the WSW members and fans into the Round 1 derby and leave out the Cove

"Such a shame", but we have to abide by the restrictions around Covid

Part of the club's cove-id safe plan.

This will be interesting for season ahead

WA government flags introduction of mandatory COVID-19 vaccines for all interstate travellers - ABC News https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-10-21/vaccine-set-to-be-mandated-for-all-interstate-travellers-into-wa/100556686

Yes of course they would as Pfizer controls them

Members will have to redeem tickets for round 1 due to crowd cap. Will be interesting to see if they allow the cove in. I guess it will depend on if they allow all remaining tickets to go to wanderers fans or still include the away section in the cap.

You'd hope that after members opt in there will be very few tickets left, which should to be fair I'm ok with them offering a clump to Sydney members (note members)  you'd hope they would do the same with us

Due to a change in circumstances, i had to change to a 5 game pass (still counts as a membership). I had to speak to the membership team and found out that my little group was placed near the Cove for the derby. The girl then placed us at the Northern end on my request.

Riot Squad will be out for some overtime.

They'll probably have 100% capacity by the next derby, assuming that restrictions are further eased from December.

I normally stay away from the toxicity of fb but my mate tagged me

what’s all this about then - people saying general public can buy tickets before wsw members can logon and claim their derby ticket?

it ticketek hasn’t blocked out seats could be chaos

Pre-season results so far

Smurfs v Bullsh1tters 5-0

Smurfs v Newcastle Jets 4 -0

Wanderers v Mariners 2-0

Mariners v Bullsh1tters 3-1

Phoenix played a NZ Team (I assume NPL1 quality) 3-1

I think that's all except the FFA Cup games.

Tony Pignata mentioned on some sports breakfast show that he believes the remainder of this seasons fixture will be released by the end of the week.

With WA borders closed to 7 teams (NSW and Vic) can't see how that would be possible

Do we even know if the Mariners will be playing at Gosford?

Just got RBB standing tickets for the derby. Available to the general public. They probably only allow this for the derbies.

The whole season draw was released today

The four teams we have to play a third time (to make up 26 rounds):

Home matches: Sydney FC and Newcastle

Away matches: Wellington and Macarthur

Full fixture list

Also the finals are different. They have the elimination finals (3rd v 6th, 4th v 5th) in the first week, then the semi finals are played over two legs home and away, before the grand final.

Well, the fixture just got released: https://www.a-league.com.au/fixtures#!/fixtures/s2021/r1

Perth play one home game this year (20th November 2021) against Adelaide United and then they don't have another home game till round 10 which is scheduled for Saturday 15th January 2022.

The Mariners will playing at Central Coast Stadium. However, they should start looking at a new home venue as I believe the council wants them out. The council are supporting the bid to have the Central Coast Bears as the 18th NRL club.

Super keen for a potential final round NZ away trip against the Nix. You'd have to think the border will open by then?

Looks like it will be a long weekend thanks to ANZAC day and only one week after Easter, so there's the potential for an extended holiday.

We also get the best of both worlds too, as we get a Wollongong game.

Only one away Victory game and on a Sunday and the City game is on a Wednesday...

Moderately shocking scheduling to be fair
