MathyouWSW Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 He has a bright future ahead of him and should be getting monitored for a potential Olyroos call-up. Sithslayer1991 and wendybr 2
THEWANDERERSPOST Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 (edited) The fact we almost lost him to the Mariners a few years ago makes him playing for us so much better in my opinion. If I recall a season or two ago, Aquilina, Silvera and Constanble were all offered trials at the Mariners to have first team football. Aquilina and Silvera left the club to go trial, while Constanble stayed. Silvera got signed to the Mariners and Aquilina didn't cut it. Now not only did he not make it on trial at the Mariners, he didn't have a club to go back to. Months later, the club were game enough to let him return to the club in the youth team. It seems that since then he has stayed committed to the club and put in the hard yards, therefore NOW being offered a first team oppurtunity. Its very positive to see the club were willing to let him return despite him wanting to go to another club for first team football. And it has been a great investment so far. He will only get even better as he gets more first team minutes. Edited January 17, 2021 by THEWANDERERSPOST MathyouWSW, MartinTyler, wendybr and 2 others 5
GunnerWanderer Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 It’s a solid start but it’s 2 games. there has been 100’s of kids in A-League get a run look good and then falter. hopefully he can be one to really kick on the system we are playing really suits his natural ‘engines’ - he seems ultra fit like Tate what’s been great too see is he isn’t afraid to get forward into goal scoring opportunities- it works so well pushing the likes of Ryan Grant back on their toes Edinburgh, alexd and wendybr 3
LeeMarvin Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 From what I have seen so far he looks like a very cultured player with a mature head on his shoulders. wendybr 1

Sithslayer1991 Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 Definitely looking the goods. I actually saw in the first half Troisi giving him pointers on field. One pass directly to Troisi and he got cleaned out and Troisi letting Aquilina to go simpler. Another where Troisi busted a lung to get forward and Aquilina ignored the run and it halted our attack and told him next time to pass it when he does those runs. All with experience of course but its good that the young boys are having the older guys take them under their wing wendybr, Edinburgh, THEWANDERERSPOST and 2 others 5

MartinTyler Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 There's a story today that he's signing for the Mariners for next season; I thought he was contracted to us for another year.

I would assume his contract finished at the end of this season.
