There is a technical bug in the system they've been trying to get fixed for a month. Despite manual interventions it still automatically generates these emails.

For the record, I rang membership on Thursday.

I wanted to make sure that a home jersey that I ordered for a Christmas present for Jnr would be delivered on time. The lovely girl that I spoke to was very helpful, but vague. Made promises about delivery times but did not fill me with any confidence at all that what she was telling me would come to fruition. 

I also asked about our membership packs. She said that I would get an email regarding the jersey and be able to track it, and it should be delivered by Monday or Tuesday. I have received no such email as yet. As for the membership packs, They should be delivered before the end of next week, so I was told.

We shall see on both accounts.

 

Anyway, great result today and I can't wait till the 27th for the 1st Westie derby. :stonedtrifiro:

There is a fair bit of criticism of the Club's efforts in the "community" sphere, questioning whether it is still a community club.  I understand why.

There are many facets to being a community club.  Here is one facet that they're getting right.

I’m told the club is ringing around former members who haven’t yet renewed. A mate (who, like me, is a foundation member who has generally lost interest in the team and league) said the membership team were pretty passive, and didn’t really try a hard sell. Makes me think it’s a combination of both market research (an exit survey of sorts) and a hopeful call that some may renew if the club reaches out directly. I’m keen to see/hear if I get a call... I have sent some polite but firm complaints to the club over the years, so they may have me on file as a letter-writer who’s more pain than the membership fee is worth 🙂.

It’s so strange how different the experience of the club can be. Not only did I NOT automatically renew but I postponed the decision and renewed very late and then got my membership packs ages ago. In the same vain, I made an order to the Wanderers shop for merch a couple of weeks ago, it was shipped the next day and I received it a couple of days later much quicker than I anticipated! 
 

Considering I am often a pain in the arse to the club not sure why they are being so nice to me.:unknw::huh:
