I think the majority of those Feb cases last year were not local ones.

Actually I read it wrong. It was a US website so it said the week of 8/2/2020, which in the civilised world is the 2nd of August. That would have been the wave that went through Victoria.

Good god, the rule where you are allowed to leave lockdown to look at property. What a ******* thing.

Meanwhile, KPMG have been employed to develop plans to send kids back to school. Our money flung at a private leeching HR consulting cesspit to ignore health advice for idealogical reasons. Love how this neo-lib freedom bullshit is panning out.

Remember economist Gigi Foster last year? As COVID messed with her favorite toy (= the economy), she suggested that Australia re-opened the border and accept a body count of somewhere between 12-25k. That neo liberalism gone mad - but that's how they think. Money over people.

This outbreak at the school for children with autism is just awful. The lockdown there must be so stressful, and frightening I would think, so many issues to take in to account we wouldn't have to think about as parents.

Let down by NSW Health and Gov. But then this is Sydney and I bet the vax rate amongst the Bondi to Bronte joggers and strollers is very high eh.

Just unbelievable that these disability schools are not looked after better.

Yes, the vulnerable are being let down. Big concerns for the indigenous community now. Add that to the outbreak a the disabled school i mentioned and it really is not a good look for Gladys. Far too serious for any humour about her or it here.

Pretty sure that most of the disability sector is a federal responsibility so this one on the scum in Canberra.

 Morrison failure again

The fact that the kids have severe autism makes it so much harder. Not only will many of the kids not comprehend what is happening, or why they can't be at school, but the physical act of testing would be incredibly stressful, even traumatising, for some of them.

The horse has bolted Premier already.

You could have locked down Greater Sydney With road blocks on all the highways And here are pinchpoints: Some on the M1 and Old Pacific Highway, Putty Road and Bells Line of Road, Great Western Highway at Mt Victoria, Hume Highway just South of Picton Road, Princess Highway south of Wollongong. Another f*** up by our "gold standard" Premier

NSW COVID-19 lockdown laws tightened, restricting travel from Greater Sydney after crisis Cabinet meeting

And now the highway patrols are doing road blocks.

Riot and Disorder Squad deployed to suburbs near Auburn, Guildford.  They didn't do that to Bondi.

NSW Premier trying to justify her idiotic handling of this outbreak.

Where's FCB, today's numbers must be well in line with his forecast eh..

In our house we play guess the number each day, given that there is no WSW on to play guess the crowd with

I was way off today, that number is well grim

Gladys has given up on covid numbers, only cares about vaccination rate.

Deaths along the way are now just collateral damage, as is outbreaks at special schools for disabled kids.

It's getting really depressing tbh. I must be in favour with the gods at the moment because I usually do two shops a week....Aldi on Mon then Woolies on Wed but decided to do the right thing and do both on same day this week.

Turns out a staff member at Aldi St Marys worked while infectious and was there on the day and time I usually go. Thanking whoever I changed my mind.:meep:

It’s ok they are deploying the riot squad

what the **** are they going to do pepper spray the virus

They can pepper spray the people in my park.  Households clearly and blatantly strolling around the park socialising. Not exercising. Hanging out with other families and friends. Ladies with prams,  three across the path, clearly not from the same household.  Unless miraculously they all got pregnant at the same time 🙄
