I was wondering who the referee's were going to be in his first game.

We might end up in a situation where it's cox vs c&^%s.

I know who's most likely to be screwed.

Some commentary I'd like to hear from Simon Hill......

.......when he misses a shot........."Cox firing blanks'.......

.......and if he's injured......."is that a limp Cox"........

.......if he scores the winner......"Cox stood tall and put in for the Wanderers"

You mean if he Cox it up?

Btw, I wonder how difficult it is to cope with having a name that lends itself to this sort of thing? You just have to harden up and deal with it I guess.

Came across this Soccer AM video of Cox from his Southend days.

This video should be played at the wanderers next training session :ninja:

Surely the Wanderers would be doing that exercise already? It's a good training skill to get strikers to kick with either foot.
Cox preferred kicking foot is left but seems to do alright with the right as well.

Well his weak foot rating on FIFA is 4/5 stars

Lucy doesn't mince her words....no political correctness here...

....."you come to Aus to play for Babbel and then he gets the @rse"........:D

That was a great listen.

Lucy did well, and Simon is a decent lad.

He is right about the age thing, once you hit 30+ years old and currently signed at a big European club, they basically don't want to know you anymore (unless you're a really gun player)

All the best to him - it can't have been easy with his wife and child away from him for all this time. Still feel he was underrated for his creativity when he played.

:good:

He put in some decent shifts for us, showed some good touches and class at time. Seemed to genuinely want to come here and work hard, but his body wasn't in the best shape.

Don't think anyone can fault his effort for the club.

No quarantine required upon arrival in the UK?

Given he’s been living here, he’s probably got the least chance of having Covid of anybody in the UK

Well, he is safely home and finally got to see his daughter:

That stuffs more important

I’d think last nights “effort” will have convinced him he made the right choice. Staying up with a baby will give him plenty of chance for late night TV including the A League

Looks as if he has retired and is going to take up a coaching role at Southend United.

we really do sign some hungry players don't we, that's the second striker in a row where next step was retirement

not his fault, but seriously a 2 year deal?
