Sithslayer1991 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Absolutely pumped to get this guy. 2014/15 season outscored Lewandowski, Ribery and Robben. Played with Schwegler and despite a knee injury succeeded in Bundesliga 2 the last 2 years where J Mac failed. Shame we have to wait till the season starts but cannot wait DinoPresinger, andypk, Zelinsky and 1 other 4

MathyouWSW Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Thought I'll post this here, this guy called Kale Morrow on Twitter does football analytics and done one on Meier. He seems to be scoring alot inside the box and willing to take shots outside the area as well. Majority of his goals coming from set pieces and headers (see aerial wins, the red dots is Meier's ratio). Would love to see him score from some corner kicks. Prydzopolis 1
Paul01 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Many articles in German Football websites on Meier, Schwegler and Babbel with the occasional mention of Ziegler. I just translated one from Kicker which exceeded Google Translate’s 300 character limit. If only Kicker has an English option. it has to be the biggest coverage that the A-League has got ever in Germany. he is the highest profile player ever from Germany and if he stays fit for 2/3 of the season we are going to enjoy it. wendybr, Prydzopolis, Sithslayer1991 and 1 other 4

I would say it is. The amount of comments that the club has received on their Facebook page from people that are from Germany and also Eintracht Frankfurt fans have been blowing up like crazy and they are all nice comments wishing him well, saying we'll have fun with him and calling him "Das Fussballgott" with images of their shirts with his number. Even Eintracht Frankfurt's English Facebook page wished him all the best. It's awesome stuff, hopefully we'll attract some German fans to the club now. It’s just embarrassing that own “fans” comment on the same articles with “he’s 36... why haven’t we signed a BL top scorer in his late 20s....?” Total whoopers

Also, where did the club f*cking announced we signed him for 4 years? ...what an idiot. At this stage the various outlets are merely repeating what was published on the wsw web site. HAL games are shown in Germany already, my brother in law watched the last derby live on TV, and was quite impressed with the quality of the game. It's going to grow further from here. Both MB and Schwegler have a very good reputation in Germany and Switzerland. AMFG at wsw will crank up the volume considerably. At least the Eintracht fans will be on board. The social media comments from Germany should signal to the FB family football experts just who and what is about to enter Australian air space... Paul01, MathyouWSW, wendybr and 2 others 5

Well as Cockerill is dead, Gatty now on our side, Gorman fooked off to Brisbane & NRL, Rugari focused on the AFL that only leaves Bossi and Smithies.
