What is expected being in safe standing/active section

Red & Black members should have received the email about the section.

Expectation is anyone in safe standing to be going tonto for the full 90 minutes and the lower sections to be singing. That's not just opening your mouths and whispering the words or pretending to sing, everyone giving 100% no matter what the score. Everyone should know what they're signing up for. There will be flags and 2 sticks, you're not expected to wave them yourself for 90 minutes, take turns get it passed down the row to your mates. If you see it on the ground make and effort to get it picked up and used. No one should be complaining about them blocking their view.

If there are tifo materials where you decide to stand, keep them there until instructions have been given out.Don't go moving/playing etc with things, they're there for a reason. Capo and la banda will have their regular spots, don't go and stand there. First time you'll be asked to move nicely, next time may not be so nice.

Success of the section hinges on everyone playing their part.

Lets hope that we start this off in the right way & no carry on when a pork chop wants to sit in his seat

Sit? Seat?

I really hope that we can get this working.

We really need to fill the stadium like we did so often in the first few years at PIRTEK, and the support from the rest of the stadium of the safe standing area will play a massive part in this.

Does anyone remember this?

Or this?

Oh, for those days again.

We have ALL been asking for this. A new home (back), allocated standing room with restricted views, we've posted videos of yesteryear saying how much we miss it, blaming SOP for everything. Well, we're home now. No excuses*.

So I’m presuming it’s still GA but just a stick to your bay type deal like parra was?

During the Leeds game, as previously seen during some other WSW games, the RBB area looked nearly half empty. While it seems that this was due to not so many buying into the Safe Standing area, the club needs to make sure that the Safe Standing zone is filled during 'sellout games' such as the Sydney Derby.

If the Safe Standing 'capacity' is (as I think stated) 1,260 then this probably only reflects the actual number of seats removed in that area. With the space they had occupied, vacated, it could well be that 2,520 could and in sellouts, should, be accommodated in that space. Any smaller number would detract from the visual appeal of the stadium and not maximise the atmosphere.

If you look at the old images and videos posted on this page, the packed terraces are the ones that get the blood and nostalgia pumping.

The club need to make sure they allow the area to be packed. Selling tickets to a seating limit will not achieve this. If nothing else, raising the area's 'spectator' limit could add 1,260 persons to the total ground capacity!

This definitely needs to happen. Not sure it will though with stupid OHS and fire safety egress requirements.

Hopefully, after time, they can slowly start increasing the number of tickets sold and test it out on a game by game basis.
