Paul01 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 BHP might be paying for a 6 week stint for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Has to be true if the ABC sports segment on 702 is discussing it.
GunnerWanderer Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Was about to post same thing https://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a-league/aleague-premiers-perth-glory-launch-blockbuster-bid-to-sign-zlatan-ibrahimovic/news-story/5ca68df0f036c336fbe098b74417390b fixtures are home to esfc, wsw and jets away to both melb teams and NYE at bluetongue as unlikely as it would be would be massive for the league Paul01 1
MartinTyler Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Yeah massive for a few weeks then back to situation normal.....
Zelinsky Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Most likely scenarios. 1) David Beckham - a move to Perth is not part of my business plan (= why on Earth would I want to go to bloody Perth?) 2) William Gallas - man, it's hot here (= why on Earth did I go to bloody Perth?)
Burgerman Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Awesome if so, sure Popa would be a little pissed off but don't think he can try cut the Zlatan

SBW Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 this was not surprising at all, Sage almost got duped by a con artist Prydzopolis 1
Taurus Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Almost?, he's the Chairman of that shonky business StringerBellend, Prydzopolis, Edinburgh and 1 other 4
Paul01 Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 Joel Chianese apparently signed for Indian Super League club Hyderabad

WHACKO Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Nabbout off to Perth. They also seem to be able to sign players under the current salary conditions. Us (the big club) on the other must wait to see what's happening first. Wanderboy 1
Carns Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Curious if this eventuated. Greek football isn't much more stable than Turkey.
mack Posted August 26, 2020 Author Posted August 26, 2020 Xanthi are playing a relegation play-off over 2 legs in the next few days. He might be in the 2nd tier by the time he gets over there.
ItchyNek Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Good luck to Perth next year if he does leave.. Would their be anyone we would want from that team? Oikon maybe but he wouldn't come cheap

THEWANDERERSPOST Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Perth look in a lot of trouble. Looks like their was an issue between Castro and Tony Sage as well. All their most influential people seem to be leaving.

THEWANDERERSPOST Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 (edited) If that story is true, I hope we don't end up signing Castro. Extremely disrespectful to the club and his team mates. As a captain of the club I would've expected much better from him. Edited August 28, 2020 by THEWANDERERSPOST
mack Posted August 28, 2020 Author Posted August 28, 2020 It's a stitch up to me. Billionaire mining magnate owner doesn't want to adhere to the contract he signed, uses the PFA as a shield, then he tells everyone else first before the Captain. Same with Lederer and Lopar. Yes you expect to get paid as an employee of a company, but most if not all of the players in the league have had to suck it up, take the reduced money and play. For me, shows the difference in a player like Schwegler and Castro. Schwegler owed us absolutely nothing but still came back on a significantly reduced contract, completed his 2 weeks quarantine and did it for his team mates, no fuss. Also the Glory didn't stop paying him, it states that they were going to pay him for the rest of the season, but on a reduced deal. Edited August 28, 2020 by THEWANDERERSPOST
