I'll be watching Brisbane Roar with a lot of interest over the next 3 years. Kaz Patafta has been appointed CEO, Zac Anderson COO.

This for, for me, is a very unique situation with ex pro running a club under extreme stress. They've both done pretty darn well in the corporate world. Kaz is a lawyer by trade who's had some pretty senior roles for a 35 year old. Zac has had a pretty decent run in venture capital.

You might remember back to Dean Heffernan firing shots at our administration for making bold, but also sh/it) decisions without ever having kicked a ball themselves. These are the kind of guys I think he envisioned running clubs.

Shame Ross is running the team, but these guys might have what it takes to actually drive the club forward. Might be an interesting model to look at for us in the future. Time will tell!

Be interesting to see how this unfolds

It's a low bar to clear as Chat GPT would probably have done a better job than Fong and co when it comes to running the club. But it's good to see football people running football clubs.

Patafta is perhaps the greatest under-achiever in Australian football......let's hope his off-field prowess fares better

They have to remember that running a football club is different to running a crypto exchange, they can’t get away with not paying staff and players.

Thats pretty cool.

Phoenix have the Maori tribal tattoos on their jerseys this season.

Its about time A-League clubs release indigenous jerseys as their 3rd kit or have it imbedded with the home or away jerseys

And considering NSW has the largest indigenous population in the country, WSW should get on board (along with the other NSW clubs).

Disappointing that we still have not yet had an Indigenous jersey.  One day soon, I hope.
