Austin gone, going back to the UK.

That will hurt them, he's not flopped for them I think, adds something off the pitch and on the training paddock for them also.

Roar will miss his passion that all leagues all access snip of him was the best 60 seconds I’ve seen thus far.

Definitely wasn’t here for a pay cheque probably won’t be missed by his defence though.

Almost had my hopes up as I saw Warren Moon had departed the club:

However, only to realise it's a fake account.

Why do c*nts do that? F*cking annoying...

Moon departs Roar

It was bound to happen. I predicted it a while ago. Rumour is Ex-Brisbane City's coach Nick Green is expected to take over his role.

Yea the rumours were swirling a few weeks back. More like Moon said "F this I am out". Backries took a big club and have driven them to the ground so badly that its about to be on par with Macarthur and Fraudsters.

No idea who this guy is (or why his voice sounds like he’s making ransom demands) but he’s made an interesting video about some of the crazy going on behind the scenes at the Roar.

Person who made the video has got it wrong on multiple elements regarding the licensing issue. First the license is given at the start of the season and while coaching changes might cause issues with the FA it wouldn't be grounds to cancel their ability to play games, and it'd be the APL that run the A-League that can decide to ignore it. Second even if he didn't have the license, you can still fulfil the license requirements by having signed up to take the course or being in the process of studying it or to have an AFC recognition certificate.

The rest is just typical nepotism and cliques that are rampant in Australian football & Roar being a basketcase.

Brisbane Roar are considering a move back to Brisbane full-time, with no stadium deal currently in place for next season.

It’s believed the Roar are considering a move to Suncorp Stadium, the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC) or Ballymore, which is currently being redeveloped.

The A-League club currently plays its home games at Kayo Stadium at Redcliffe, with that three-year deal expiring at the conclusion of the current season.

While the Roar initially had success at the boutique 10,000-capacity stadium attracting near sell-out crowds, its average attendance at the venue has dipped below 5000 this season, including just 3462 for their last encounter.

The club has played two of three games at its former home Suncorp Stadium this season, returning to the Brisbane venue for the first time since March 2020, with less than impressive crowds of around 8000 for both games.

Roar’s commercial manager Charlie Mann told the Brisbane Times there were issues with playing home games at Redcliffe.

“At the end of the day, we have lost lots of supporters going to Redcliffe – it’s not ideal being north – and it’s now league territory with the Dolphins being there as well,” he said.

“We just want to re-engage with our community and do what’s best for our supporters as well.”

The traditional home of rugby union in Queensland, Ballymore, is in the final stages of a redevelopment with the imminent completion of the 3010-seat western grandstand, forming part of the new $30 million National Rugby Training Centre.

However, it’s been revealed the stadium’s 4670-seat eastern stand is no longer considered safe for use, meaning its capacity would be restricted to just 8000, a far cry from the 18,000 it previously held. Limited seating in front of the eastern stand would still be able to be utilised, as well as the hill and new stand.

Another issue for the Herston venue would be transport, with lord mayor Adrian Schrinner saying it remained Ballymore’s Achilles heel, and the residential community around the stadium needed to be consulted about possible changes.

“With any major venue, there has to be good, quality transport,” he said.

“You see this with the Gabba having access to both rail and the Brisbane Metro bus services; we see that with Brisbane Arena [Roma Street] having great access to rail and bus.”

Kayo Stadium is located about 40 minutes by road from Brisbane and while the stadium has received further upgrades recently following the Dolphins entry to the NRL including broadcast-quality lighting and LED perimeter fence signage, the Redcliffe venue has fallen out of favour with the club’s supporter base.

At Nathan, OASC's facilities are dated, and the venue may be utilised for AFL and cricket while the Gabba is rebuilt ahead of the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games. However, Stadiums Queensland has previously recommended the demolition of some of its grandstands, as it has also done for Ballymore’s eastern stand.

Meanwhile, the traditional home of the round ball game in Brisbane, Perry Park, remains well below A-League standard with no plans for an upgrade any time soon despite repeated calls in recent years.

Suncorp Stadium would appear to be the most likely option for the Roar given its history and facilities, however with the ASM Global-managed venue given the green light to host more concerts, its availability during the summer months may be further limited.

The Roar host Newcastle at Kayo Stadium on April 8 before playing Sydney FC at Suncorp Stadium in their final home game of the season on April 24.

Man i dont think it matters where roar play, those crowds are not improving under the current management. With all the things they've done it will take more than a move to suncorp to actually brong the fans back.

Brisbane Roar ALW to Ballymore confirmed

Good. The disaster of attracting no one by playing in the middle of nowhere has come to an end. Playing in Redcliffe was Spotless.on steroids. It will take a while to get all the old fans back though.

Can't understand why they just use Ballymore for all games.

That's what the Roar want to do once it's fully renovated if it gets beyond the first stage (assuming it's going to be done for the 2032 Olympics). Right now it's just finishing up the main grandstand which also functions as a training facility and office spaces for Queensland Rugby Union.

The other stand is unsafe and needs demolition, and there's no other facilities there at the moment. Until a second stand & more facilities are added it isn't really capable of hosting an A-League game.

Still gonna be hard to get back all those Roar fans. If any fan has ever been disenfranchised and treated poorly its those that have followed Brisbane cince the Backries take over. 12000 fans average to 4-5000. New definition of running a club to the ground.

People who hold Roar season tickets and turn up week after week are up there with Jets fans. They deserve so much more than the garbage they've been served up for years.

And are the Qld government really expecting the feds to stump up money to do up Ballymore as well? I was utterly gobsmacked when I heard that Qld had managed to get the Commonwealth to stump up billions for the complete rebuild of the Gabba and an indoor sports stadium - just astonishing. And the excuse is because (somehow or other) Brisbane hosting the 2032 Olympics (THAT NOONE ELSE BID FOR OR WANTED!!) is beneficial for the whole country. Seriously.

I mean I'm all for Roar supporters and players to catch a break - Lord knows the current ownership has screwed them over but the funding better not be coming from the Commonwealth.

As usual every other code gets $ thrown at it by the QLD government apart from football.

And the bloody Olympics!! Bear in mind substantial amounts are from the Commonwealth!
