How long does it take to walk there from Parramatta Station? Opal app says 24 mins, but the stadium website says 10. I've only ever driven there before, but that's a hassle.

From previous experiences I'd say 15-20 depending on which side of the ground and how busy. You'd have to get your skates on to do it in 10 !!

Do they still do shuttle busses?

They do for the Eels. Bankwest sponsor them.

I'd imagine they will for us too.

I think I did it in 10-15 once.

It usually takes me about 4 hours, via the Commercial, The Collector, Wool Pack and the BBC

I still reckon league fans will get one sniff of the safe standing and love it. Que Buzz Rothfield writing an article about how it’s a ‘game changer’ for watching the footy

Either that or once the league season starts we won’t get safe standing for those two months cause they can’t be arsed uninstalling and reinstalling it after each game.

10 mins to the Woolpack for pre-game refreshments & thence another 10+ to the venue

That's the type of game day experience, which I can get behind

I thought my Leeds tickets were due last week. What are they doing, writing them out individually?

They were due on the 20th.

Apparently they still don't know what time kick off will be, so they can't send them out yet.

YOLO

You can tell your grandkids about the night #WSW put six past Leeds at their new stadium, or you can tell em you watched it on the box at home

But I'm already telling them about the night I sat right on the goal line when Golec's "tasty" cross found Juric to make it 1-0 in the Champions League Final...

I remember watching that ball dribble across the line right in front of me and thinking it so surreal that it was all happening

Beating Leeds in a pre season friendly will not be the stuff of recounting to the grandkids, its a shame they couldn't line up a big club for this opening stadium game.

They were one game away from being a "big club" which is what the promoters were banking on but stuffed it. Actually one half away if memory serves!

They didn't stuff it. Derby County knifed them with 4 at Elland Road. I'm wearing my Rams kit to remind them. If you can't justify the spend to go and are in Active pm me your membership as I have a queue banging to go.

Dukes and Kewell made them big here though regardless. I reckon 4/5 leeds fans I know started watching them in the 90s.

For me I remember first seeing Dukes when he was part of that great Melbourne Knights NSL team of the 90's.  When he moved to Celtic I started watching Celtic games and begin supporting that club after learning about their rich culture online.  Although I enjoyed seeing the Aussies playing at Leeds, never really supported that club though.
