Alright no more puns. :diablo:

Mack acting like a cranky, old-style teacher brings out the dormant rebel in me. :meep:

But OK...looks like it's  Curtains for the Elton John pun mischief.

As I was in town on Thursday night I thought I'd give the stadium a look over at the Tigers v Souths game. Very impressive stadium and great views from the upper tier seats. Poor crowd of just under 10k meant that the atmosphere was dead at times and we'll need to get at least 15k and the RBB in good voice to create a decent thing going. This stadium will keep the noise in so should be quite intimidating for visiting teams. I'd suggest that anyone with seats in the upper tier behind the RBB get prepared for some semi-active activity !!

I think there will be plenty of semi activity when people see stadium on game day first time

I'm looking forward to this game why boycott , it's not every day you move to a new stadium fanatics know the score on this one :drinks:

It's not a boycott. A boycott is when you don't turn up as protest. This is just people saying they don't like overpriced friendlies. You just know that this game is gonna be a big arse kissing job, some old Leeds player will come out here as the ambassador, Leeds will get treated like the home team just so some schmuck who CHOSE to live on the other side of the world gets to sing some half-remembered song from Elland Road when he was a teenager, the players won't care etc. etc.

The ONLY things that could make this good are the RBB going fully Year 1 and 2 like crazy, and us pummelling Leeds. Otherwise, it will be a theatre show like the Arsenal game (and all the other friendlies before that).

If this game was againsts the smurfs we'd be scoffing at it.

Still, now that rants over, might go...

Everything you say is so true. You also forgot to mention that all players will be trying to get through the game without injury.

In saying that, I don't blame people for not wanting to go for all the reasons you suggested. They are all legit reasons.

I'm going because I want to be at the first football match at the stadium and also, being the middle of the off-season, I have football withdrawal symptoms. I don't get to NPL games and my son's football games on Saturdays keep me sane.

The Arsenal game was as plastic as ****, but I had a ball that night because I was in the RBB and the RBB were in fine form. I really enjoyed the night, especially the bit afterwards when I was queuing up for a bus surrounded by a few GWS fans who were going home from Spotless. They had about 8000 at that game (allegedly!!), we had 83500, and one of them was trying to "discuss" with me which game was the real football. Wow, what a dick!! I just lol'd at him.

The only downer on the night was when my 14 yo daughter dropped her frickin I-Phone into the toilet and then flushed before realizing. Thankfully, when she went back, it was too big to get around the S-Bend. She fished it out, but it was rooted!!

You could always storm the Leeds end and rip off a couple of those double team scarves :-)

All this talk is making me feel that maybe I should go.

Had felt like Btron up til now.

Yes, you should go...get tickets as close to the Leeds fans as possible and shout Dirty Leeds as loud as you can...I guarantee there will never be  that many Yorkshire people in Bank West ever again...and so not to be missed.

Row ******* 27

I made sure I got Row 27 for my season tickets. It's the back row of the top deck, which means I can stand all game and make an arse of myself without annoying people behind me.

The people in front of me can just put up with my mouthy shite.

For this one off game I am hoping they put fish n chips with mushy peas and a bovril drink on the menu...to give an authentic flavour on a cold night...

Just further to this, my row 27 season ticket seats are in the eastern stand on the goal line at the northern end. Almost the same seats I had at the old Pirtek, so I'm a happy camper.
