BrightSpark Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Welcome to the A-League, Kosta Grozos. I hope he learns a lot with us this season, and he plays with passion and pride. If he uses his head and plays with his heart, he'll do great. And I hope he gets 1 in the back of the net for us, too. Good luck. COYW.
Taurus Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 His shoulder popped out (then back in) v's Darwin in FFA Cup game on Tuesday. He shouldn't be on the sidelines for long. Btw, I believe his deal has been upgraded from scholarship to senior squad player, hence why he is now wearing #6 Edinburgh, EmMac and Paul01 3
mack Posted October 15, 2018 Author Posted October 15, 2018 He's apparently done another injury? Mahazi is going to be a starter.

StringerBellend Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Apparently injured and out for 8-10 weeks according to soccer stoppage time. Such a shame hopefully comes back strong

THEWANDERERSPOST Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 No Grozos No Party with the assist for us with Hemeds goal tonight. Always rated him... GunnerWanderer 1
StringerBellend Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 (edited) To be fair he and Penna outplayed our highly rated midfield for the vast majority of that game There's a player in there, but our Welsh David Brent won't find it..Could move for him to go to a club where they are playing him Only way he will improve Edited November 29, 2021 by StringerBellend THEWANDERERSPOST 1

But Grozos has made the exact same mistake 3 games in a row, which has cost the Jets 3 goals. If Grozos doesn't make that mistake in the FFA Cup qualifiers, Jets are now in the FFA Cup. If Grozos doesn't make the exact same mistake in the F3 derby, Jets draw that match or even go on to win. If Grozos doesn't make the same mistake a 3rd time in a row last night, his team wraps up all 3 points. sonar and Sithslayer1991 2

If Grozos doesn't make the same mistake a 3rd time in a row last night, his team wraps up all 3 points. He's learned nothing. Grozos is directly responsible for 50% of Newcastle's conceded goals this season. I was talking which a guy about this on reddit who insisted he just needed time, until I pointed out he'd done the same thing 3 times in 3 games. He was slightly less enthusiastic. Here's my assessment of him. He has a great football brain. I saw him make some wicked passes in NPL games, he even set up some cheeky little plays in small bursts for us, you can see its there. His problem is his body simply cannot operate at the speed required. In the NPL, you just don't get closed down as quickly. Gaps stay open for longer. The wingers are a bit faster than the wingbacks. In the Aleague none of this is true. Once het got schooled a few times by AL midfielders he seems to have lost some confidence. His passing has completely gone to the shi/tter. I actually think that better coaches worked out his weakness with speed a long time ago. Wanderers academy considered him one of the best players they'd ever produced, but he has only twice played youth internationals. Sotirio played 15 for comparison. He was a very similar player to Ryan Teague from Sydney, and many considered Grozos better. Teague played about 30 youth internationals. Seems to me that he was worked out long ago, Wanderers just never got the memo OglenLangden and THEWANDERERSPOST 2
