SBW
Not a comfortable game over Sheffield Utd but we got the 3pts and go back on top, 8 games to go, still a 3 horse race between, LFC, City and Arsenal. Now for the big game against Man Utd on Monday morning at the Old Shithole Link to comment

mack
tbh I'd still give that live. Defender dives in, completely misses the ball, but leaves himself in a position to trip the attacker. It's like Lucas Neill at the World Cup. Link to comment

If only they had some way of quickly reviewing it via video afterwards..Surely that might assist the referee, we'd all be in for that? they could call it a Video Assisted Review If they had such a thing then the would have seen that he throws himself to the ground as soon as he shifts the ball and wasn't touched at all. Davo
Yeah in real time I assumed it was a pen too. No issue with the on field ref giving it. But one look at the replay would show that Elliot was already at a 45 degree angle and falling over before any of the contact that he initiated actually happened. StringerBellend 1 Link to comment

Yep blatant cheating but it's at Anfield so "he's entitled to go down there" No way that would be given to other clubs Link to comment
SBW
Horrible performance by Liverpool, Man Utd had more injured players than Liverpool did yet Man Utd outplayed us the whole game, lucky to score the 2 goals against them as well, I'll accept the draw considering the performance. Link to comment
SBW
The wheels have fallen off, a massive home loss to a 6th place Atalanta in the UEFA Cup this morning. Can't see us beating Palace this weekend either, will be very lucky to finish in the top 3 this season. Link to comment

SBW
I don't think I have watched a crazier FA Cup Semi final than this morning's one. I really feel for Coventry, from 60th min onwards they were the better team despite being 3-0 down against Man Utd, the scenes for their 3rd goal was wild, when they thought they scored the winner in the last minute of extra time, it was insane only for VAR to rule that out for Offside. Davo
The thing that annoys me with these things is I can accept the arguments they're making for each decision, but next week exactly the same thing will happen, the opposite decision is made, and the referee on the couch will explain why the opposite decision was correct. The first one was minimal contact, but more often than not that's given. The handball rule is absolute carnage at the moment. That was no different to the one United conceded overnight and was accepted as the correct decision. mack, EmMac and MartinTyler 3 Link to comment

Not sure that the outburst was warranted but we've been dudded a few times recently. Plenty going on off the field at the moment and it's not healthy. Link to comment

Nah, we would have won our game against Tottenham, and we probably would have won our game against Crystal Palace at home as well. We've had aour fair share of dud calls EmMac 1 Link to comment

I thought Osman's and Owen's assessment on it was pretty fair. You create chances but you don't finish em, and your midfield isn't up for the physical ugly stuff, Everton managed to turn the game into the physical stuff that suits us. The other thing is DCL bullied your defence absolutely monstered them. Trent Alexander Arnold is a **** defender, he can hit the odd Hollywood ball for the highlights clips but he is a really poor defender. Badly at fault both goals, first one where the f was he it was WSW esque he was way out of position. 2nd one ok he's unlikely to win a header against DCL but at least get up and make a challenge (maybe you pressure him to put it off target). He just stood there. Arguably St Virgil shouldn't have let himself get stuck behind Tarkovski. Finally St Virgil post match, having a whinge about 1230 kickoffs, was funny. Lid it's Wednesday night go buy an alarm clock. I think I might grow a disc beard in tribute the Dyche Man (sorry Shaun ft ever doubting you, you tactical genius you) Anyone noticed that since the Chelsea loss Dyche has dropped the white junior bank clerk shirt look and gone for the trackie manager look. We have one both games. Rudna take note Edited April 25 by StringerBellend Link to comment
