Davo Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Yeah Trent came a close second in the stealing a living list, right behind Michael Oliver. No issue with the De Ligt penalty as the current interpretation is arm above the shoulder is handball. But when a Liverpool player does it during a United corner (I believe it was Gravenberch) nothing. Not to mention Maguire’s clean tackle on Jota on the edge of the box that Oliver not only called a foul but also booked him for. StringerBellend 1

Not worth the 300k a week the club is offering him. Is the red party line on TAA changing? If he leaves he'll go from 'best right back in der werld, la' to "we didn't want him anyway" He is probably the most overrated footballer in the EPL. Some of the ranting from commentators is ridiculous "he's redefined playing right back" Yes if that means nor actually being able to defend. His famous long passing game is mostly twatting the ball into the corner for Salah to chase

His famous long passing game is mostly twatting the ball into the corner for Salah to chase On his day, TAA can be very good but of all days, today he puts in probably his worst performances ever against Everton's Reserve team with very bad defending and poor passes by giving away possession over and very poor defending that he has made Jesse Cameron's debut for us against MacArthur a world class performancen by his standard.
Sithslayer1991 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 If TAA goes Real Madrid it will suit him better because he doesn't have to defend as much and his passing quality will be emphasized at Madrid. In the EPL with Liverpool it gets frustrating, because he does get exposed. Connor Bradley is more robust RB, its like having Robertson at RB as he is more conventional and difference is telling as he instantly improved our right side when TAA went off. All that aside TAA had a horrible game this morning VVD was blasting him all game for his defensive effort and poor passes that he had to repeatedly recover for the team.
Davo Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Also saw footage of the roof of the Anfield main stand leaking like a sieve during the game. Doesn’t get clicks like United stories though so it won’t get the wall to wall coverage Old Trafford leaks get.

Funny Bramley moore got clicks for water running down the stairs, the fact that the ground isn't finished didn't seem relevant the weirdos online

Old Trafford hasn't had any investment for close on 25 years. Old Trafford has been left to run down while other top clubs have had stadium investment. I get why the Man U fans are pissed off tbh and why it's news. Edited January 7 by Smoggy
StringerBellend Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Stuff the redshite and their crappy loft extension we are getting an ace new ground right on the Mersey SBW and EmMac 2
Smoggy Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Nicked from a Posh fan —————- Peterborough are 19th in League One. They play Everton at Goodison Park in the FA Cup on Thursday. They’ll be cautious, defensive and act like a small club against one of the big boys. They’ll struggle to hit a shot on target. As for Peterborough, I’m sure they’ll be up for it. StringerBellend Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Next Everton Manager? Assuming Potter goes to west ham? I've really no idea. Mourinho is the word on the streets, could be interesting. Sure he's known for four football but it could be worse than Dyche Ball. So we have Moyes Mourinho Some random Spanish guy Big Carlo Robinhoson Rooney

StringerBellend Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Looks like it's going to be Moyes Hardly inspiring choice, maybe he'll treat himself to a new cardigan.
Carns Posted January 9 Posted January 9 BBC reporting maybe Moyes at least on a short term basis. Questions on whether he would actually want it, but you'd assume he would keep them up. Think the owners (and fans) would want a different direction long term though. Relegation before the new stadium move would be disastrous.
Sithslayer1991 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I thought Sean Dyche was all that was keeping Everton up. I can't see Moyes or (lol) Mourinho doing any better than what Dyche did.
Smoggy Posted January 9 Posted January 9 For me...this particular job has to be between... Joey Barton Wayne Rooney Neil Warnock Sam Alladyce All would be a great fit at this moment in time. Carns 1

Smoggy Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) Aston Villa were relegated and didn't do them any harm....well...they fiddled the FFP rules to advantage themselves...but you get the gist. What i am saying is I see Villa and Everton as similar clubs. Edited January 10 by Smoggy StringerBellend 1

I think this is the issue, Dyche is so negative and insists that the squad is so bad that we have to play such turgid football. It's not working, we won't be able to 0 - 0 our way to safety, soon as we concede we have no idea what to do. The squad isn't as bad as he makes out, pick up a couple of players in Jan and it is good enough to stay up. Dyche was credited with keeping Burnley up until he didn't Carns 1
Carns Posted January 10 Posted January 10 From the BBC article about his sacking: "They failed to register a shot on target at Vitality Stadium and have won just three of 19 games in the league this season. ... Only in three seasons in Everton's history have they scored fewer goals after playing this number of league games. They currently have the division's lowest expected goals (xG) rate at 18.33. The Merseysiders have had 63 shots on target this season. Southampton are the only side to fare worse, with 58 to date. Everton had zero shots on target in Saturday's loss at Bournemouth and the goalless draw at Arsenal last month. Everton's goals-per-game rate of 0.79 is the lowest number for the team in 13 seasons. It has dropped from 1.05 last term and 0.89 in 2022-23. ... In the past 10 games, Craig Dawson (from Wolves) is Everton's top scorer having scored two own goals in that game (the 4-0 win over Wolves)." https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c0479zvq1gzo The new owners would've preferred he see out the season and they mutually part ways at the end of his contract, but there was concern they would be relegated so doing it now gives the new manager some time and maybe a chance to get a player or two in the transfer window.
