mack Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Canberra United Youth vs Western Sydney Wanderers Youth VS Date: 16/12/17 Competition: Youth League League Regular Season Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory Stadium: AIS Grass Fields View full record
Paul01 Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Lachlan Scott in the starting lineup. Suman not named in the starting XI or subs with Axford starting.
Paul01 Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Goal App puts the formation as 4-3-3 which is Gombau's with Fabian Monge as the holding midfielder and he is classy. from what i saw in Caletti in the u17 world cup in Chile, i think Fabian is better. Majok opens the scoring.
Paul01 Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 3-0 up Scott scored the second (assisted by Majok) followed Tokich (assisted by Grozos)
Paul01 Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 4-0 up with goal scored by Grozos (assisted by Monge)
Paul01 Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Game finished as a 6-3 win using the Gombau formation (one goal for penalty). WSW scorers Majok (2), Scott, Tokich, Grosoz (2) First game against Canberra a month ago used the Popa formation with an 8-0 win.

NYL squad have adopted the Gombau style of playing 2 AM's since round 1.
Prydzopolis Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Have we noticed that we are not as tight defensive wise now? More leaky?
Paul01 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Results R1 v Canberra (h) 8-0 very tight R2 v Mariners (a) 2-0 R3 v Smurfs (h) 3-1 R4 v Jets (h) 5-3 not as tight as R1 R5 v Canberra (a) 6-3
Paul01 Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 This game lists 4 subs by us. Is this allowed?
mack Posted December 28, 2017 Author Posted December 28, 2017 Yes. Pretty sure only a keeper is mandatory (even then I'm not sure if that's in the NYL rules).
