There's some poverty awareness campaign on buses at the moment, it's a picture of a sad kid and unseen bullies saying "nice shoes povo".

the kid is wearing volleys!!

hey!!

the anti poverty ad is having a go at me FFS!!

Volleys never went out of fashion at Richmond high, unless your mum bought you the wrong type, they had a failed range that was chunky like a really crap Nike trab. The old skool canvas ones were the go, richmond westie chic

this bloody song, my brain= evil

i was on the bus and a riff popped into my head, the last 10 seconds of a song was repeating in my head over and over but it was just a guitar riff, no lyrics just a guitar riff

i cant google a guitar riff to find the song but my brain would not let me access any other part of the song

WGMG Big shopping centres. Everything about them.

Fighting for a parking spot, the queues, the bombardment of images and ads.

One ad I noticed today "A warm jumper is as good as a hug"

Hmmmm....nope...I don't think so.

lol yeah, I had to go to Parra westfield at the weekend, get in there for 9am and make sure I am done no later than 10am.

The only pleasure I ever get from going somewhere like that is if I have to take shopping back to the car but I am not leaving, but someone pulls up thinking I am and thinking they got lucky......that is the only joy I get.

Well, OK ... you can't help it if people get their hopes up falsely..... but you don't have to take delight in it!   :P:P

On Corby and the “media frenzy”,just turn the TV off. I have.

I thank (whoever) that modern TV’s have a USB playback function for streaming your own media. I rarely watch “live ” TV anymore. Bliss, pure Bliss…lol

Schapelle Corby Confronted By Appalling Media Frenzy, Media Frenzy Reports

By The Shovel on May 28, 2017
media frenzy

Hundreds of journalists and photographers have described the scene of hundreds of journalists and photographers trying to get a glimpse of Schapelle Corby as ‘chaotic’ and ‘hysterical’.

One clown described the scene as ‘a circus’.

“Corby is now just simply trying to get on with her life, away from the eyes of the media,” a Channel 7 reporter said from a motorbike chasing the Corby entourage down a back alley. He said that some in the media were chasing the Corby entourage by motorbike down back alleys. “It really is a frenzy,” he said.

A Channel 9 reporter said some journalists had gone as far as booking themselves onto Corby’s flight. “We’ll have exclusive images from that flight soon,” he said.

Media organisations across the country have sent half their news crews to cover the Schapelle Corby story. The other half have been sent to cover the news crews covering the Schapelle Corby story.

I don't understand why Australian media fetishizes people who have been caught smuggling narcotics in foreign countries. Schapelle, the two guys who got executed, and now the headphone woman in Colombia. Being Aussie true blue larrikins doesn't make what they did not wrong; it makes them incredibly stupid for thinking they can get away with it.

Why would you even go through countries like Indonesia or Colombia when they have such strict laws regarding the sale of illegal drugs? The way to do it is through a western country where if you do get caught you basically end up in a hotel with your own TVs, gyms and daily provisions of edible food.

WRGMG: The Government cutting funding to the Healthy Harold program.

Where else will kids learn about drugs and sex in the back of a dark van from a bodiless puppet? :P

But seriously, it's an iconic and important rite of passage for many young school kids and teaches them useful information such as healthy eating, safe sex, the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol etc.

I honestly can't think of a similar initiative that has been as well received or popular as Healthy Harold. That stupid stoned sloth campaign cost $350K and all anybody did was laugh at it. Surely $500K  over 3 years is a much better return on investment?
