Went to my accountant early last week and will get a nice refund.

The better news was that from a conservative political family, he said that his wife indicated to him that Stuart Ayres is a goner over the Barilaro appointment.  When their own side recognises corruption, it was sweet.

It was just a "present".......nothing to see here, and anyway why give it to a woman who's far more qualified. I mean that sucks right.

Barilaro set the dogs (NSW Police Fixated Persons Unit) onto Jordan Shanks. Im my opinion, that action was illegal. And remember that the NSW Police Commissioner at the time was a neighbour and mate of Morrison.

One can imagine the following scenario 

Barilaro calls Morrison "Help me out mate. Friendlyjordies is having a go at me."

Morrison "No worries. I'll have a chat with my special neighbour "

"Thanks but see if you shut the f***wit up as soon as possible"

He's a Historian and now TV Presenter on a  right wing News network, he's not  an Epidemiologists, scientist or qualified medical professional. Basically in terms of public health and vaccines he's just as qualified as James Triosi and Eric Clapton. So therefore , yes I agree, he is most definitly a natural leader of the Resist movement.

He makes no claims whatever to be a public health expert...and nor do the others you mention.

Yes, he is an ancient historian, author and the face of a popular television series. 

Regarding a medical treatment offered by his government, he declines to accept it, and thinks mandating it is overreach. He has spoken about it publicly, and has developed a following of like minded people.

Do you have any comment on the revelation that part of our trillion dollar debt is due to our wise leaders ordering 250,000,000 vaccine doses??

10 per almost every member of the entire population? Surely that's worth a discussion...but not on the WFMB thread. :crazy:

If that isn't the most staggeringly imbecilic and atrocious waste of public money in the history of the nation, I'd like to know what is.

Novavax...160,000 doses administered out of 51,000,000!! 

WTH was written into these contracts... I'm sure the taxpaying public would like to know??

No wonder they are so desperate to shove them into arms even now!

And no wonder Greg Hunt hightailed it out of politics!

Yea the whole vaccine thing was dodgy. The Astra as a main vaccine was due to Dave Sharma having heavy investment in the company.

But there were problems even before COVID with debt. Like subsidies to the bigger companies, Qantas and Harvey Norman are the best examples of getting subsidies recording more profit BUT cutting employees. I think Australian debt was around $750 million in early 2020.

What's the obsession with whether the (Murdoch influenced) ABC is reporting this? Doesn't do your credibility any favours. Anyway the article appears to be twisting data to suit their point of view. Trust me, with 2 family members in the health system they are struggling big time.

I don't doubt the health system is struggling big time. My heart goes out to people working on the front lines. It really does. Many people I know seem to be struggling with health issues....repeatedly.

I'd be interested in hearing what data is being twisted in the article, if you're inclined to share?

 

PS If the information in the article IS factual ( not saying it is, but I've seen pretty much everything reported there elsewhere) I guess we'll see it reported on the ABC News tonight. And in the rest of the mainstream media here.

It isn't good news overall  but it should be seem as good news re Covid?

The Daily Mail was the first british newspaper to come out and support Hitler and the Nazi's in the 1930's, it also strongly supported the Fascists in Spain. Its coverage of anything political is extreme right and got so bad that even recently Wikipedia refused to accept anything it printed due to its dodgy or non existent sources.  Basically it caters for those with a reading age between seven and eleven.
