So how does this work, surely at some point the club would be able to rip up his contract, or reach a mutually agreed termination. I just don’t see the point of him hanging around for another season. It’s not how pro football works…his whole situation seems odd… Edited November 13, 2021 by Smoggy sonar 1

BoyFromTheWest Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 I imagine if it is workers comp, he remains listed at the club until either his contract expires or he is deemed fit to play. Seems he just sits on the books but nothing else? Smoggy 1

MathyouWSW Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Holy f*cking ****! https://mens.nplnsw.com.au/2024/02/08/wolves-hungry-for-huge-2024-season/?fbclid=IwAR1qf0F6U6zITEufNQk-iImnw1n1AcAI-3czut9gSLHtYxRJuu0X88YG9PY One major signing the club (Wollongong Wolves) has managed to pull off is reigniting the career of former A-League keeper Vedran Janjetovic. The 36-year-old returns to the NPL once more after spending the last ten plus years playing in the A-League with the likes of Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Heart (City), Sydney FC and the Western Sydney Wanderers. The keeper suffered what appeared to be a career ending injury with a severe rotator cuff tear as he was sidelined for two seasons which ultimately saw the shotstopper hang up the gloves. Janjetovic however has pushed through the barriers and has worked hard in getting back to fitness hoping to play the game he loves in the 2024 season.
Carns Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Good for him being able to return and hopefully go out on his own terms. MathyouWSW and EmMac 2
