Neverbloom Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 serious question how does he command the defense and box? with redmayne it felt like our defense wasnt as good and Tyson was much more commanding but how about the smurf?
Prydzopolis Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 The one thing I can say goat is that first available match he starts, I think that says where the coaching staff see which keepers are 1 & 2. Robbie Slater "Very interesting selection when he hasn't played any games or been at Sydney training for quite some time so his match fitness can't be there. It is a huge gamble to throw him straight in or suggests that he was training somewhere else" In response to speedy whether something sinister went on, "I think something sinister went on". Obviously something we don't know. Neverbloom 1
braad Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 He is doing ok. It will take time to build cohesion and understanding with the coaches but more importantly the team. Great thing is he seems very vocal and instructing of the defenders EmMac and Valter43 2

braad Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 88th minute on debut. One handed stop from Kamau when on goal. Then made safe with Fornaroli snapping around. This is why he is half decent JackDoff, EmMac, Valter43 and 2 others 5

Paul01 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 First appearance in red and black, gets into the A-League team of the week. the franjic goal was unlikely to have been saved by any keeper considering the curve from the outside of the boot. I say good effort since there were no goals from Fornaroli or Vi$ion plus the defensive effort was much better. a clean sheet against the smurfs would be great. 102megan, tardotz and wendybr 3
Valter43 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Was well received when he came over with the other players to greet the travelling support. Edinburgh, wendybr and Prydzopolis 3

Hiriser Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 If the Sydney FC fans give Vedran any kind of abuse, I can imagine he would give it straight back. Don't see him as someone who would bite his tongue.

Valter43 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Reserving my judgement keeping my 5 game rule before deciding on the player At first people were spewing fire over the signing, now from what I've seen there is a fair bit of love for him after 1 game. Is Vedran a good keeper? Yes. Is he better than Tyson and Redmayne? Yes, but I think he's only a few shades better than the latter. Has Vedran had his share of blunders? Yes, definitely. On a personal, instinctual level I gave a sigh of relief when I saw Vedran would be starting. Our goalkeeping has been truly depressing this season and hopefully Vedran will prove to be an authoritative and commanding figure at the back to keep our leaking defence organised.
