jdrudd91 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 The Bulut no goal was ******** I know it, you know it. City are truly the FFA golden child Tyson in! Our defence looked so much better tonight, there was an air of confidence about them not having to worry about when Redmayne's next **** up will be. Scott was great, Nico awesome! Nichols looked better than he has in a few weeks. And Cahill deserved every boo he got, the way he's acted like a knob, especially tonight **** him. I'll cheer for him when he's in the NT but with the oil money blues he can get stuffed. WTF with the moths and bugs? Smoggy, wendybr, Horus and 5 others 8

Popular Post DamnedUnited Posted November 18, 2016 Popular Post Posted November 18, 2016 I thought the team was great and a dramatic improvement from last week. The RBB's ranks are also being replenished and we were thunderous. Bulut is our spiritual leader and when he came off we became a ship without a rudder and lost some of that mongrel press and cohesion. Even if we went down by a goal I would have been happy for the effort alone. For all the sceptics a whole bunch of the crowd stayed back solely to thank and take pics with Bulut. He was the last most gracious and most revered of our players. He don't have to do he just have to be. One club marshall as he prepared to take a group shot of us with Bulut said ahh the Sultan of Auburn you said last time I said nah it's the Zlatan of Auburn but at least he remembered. Happy days ahead especially if Nicholls can get his act together. btron3000, Smoggy, HillsWanderer and 15 others 18
Smoggy Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) Bush fire. Do you live under a rock or something? Smelt worse than that. It is probably the phantom farter of the old east stand upper at Parra in his new location at Spotless. I had to suffer though a couple of seasons near that ****er lol Used to drop his guts on the floor every ******* game. Edited November 18, 2016 by WSWBoro eggs, stavup, wendybr and 3 others 6
eggs Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Tonight there was no service for the strikers. Bulut was left running in to space, for the midfield to not release the ball. They're not playing to his strengths as they're currently set up, and the bench didn't offer anything promising. Bob, JackDoff, ptwsw and 1 other 4
montywoodpeg Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I'm absolutely livid FFA's Tim Cahill was allowed to strike an opposition player in the head and was rewarded with a personal escort from the field. This is the man at the centre of the FFA's marketing campaigns, and a 'marquee for the entire league'. If anyone is supposed to be representing the game and setting the example, it's this guy. The ONLY excuse I can think to give is that the officials were focused elsewhere when it happened, that it. If that's the case, then I expect he will receive a 3-6 week suspension after a review during the week. Anything less would be an absolute disgrace. Valter43, JackDoff, sonar and 7 others 10
Horus Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I can easily say that Citeh are easily becoming second only to the scum with the amount of ****s they have in that team...Brandan must be going for the record of rolling from Perth to Fremantle soon... Feel for Bulut - he was Pio'esque with his positioning, but typically when he stays on...its a total bullshit call Great effort from the boys, Martinez again was class, but guys likes Clibsy really had a go, and it does look like dropping Pinatares early has worked - i thought he had a good game...although I'm shocked he wasn't given a straight red for daring to tell the Vi$ion to **** off at half time BrightSpark, DamnedUnited, wendybr and 1 other 4
BBB Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Wonder if Nico made it back to his car without being dragged down by 3 or 4 Heart players... Hughesy Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I'm really pleased with that performance, we deserved to win. It wasn't perfect but it was tough and we worked hard, particularly against some seriously one sided officiating. I'm sick of this **** every week across all aleague games. The officials need to have some accountability but as usual nothing will come of it. Not sure what it sounded like elsewhere but from the Bloc it was a ripper atmosphere. Wtf is going on with the wildlife flying around the ground? The game started with flying ants and by the end I was attacked by moths the size of baby birds. It's dangerous airspace. I'd feel much safer if the police were carrying mortein. After we played them last year I couldn't believe what a bunch of flogs that mob have become and they lived up to it again tonight. Ps. Bruno who? Horus, BrightSpark, xxBrandonxx and 9 others 12
wanderersfanatic Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) Tyson was class tonight, he commanded the box much better than Redmayne did and knew what to do with the ball. You can feel the defenders are much more confident passing the ball to him when necessary. Tyson to start next week. I thought Pinatares had his best game, stopped the city counter attack several times and his positioning was on point. Shades of S2 La Rocca. Martinez was great as usual, easily our most skillful player and felt like the only one cresting chances. And for the Bulut, you gotta feel for him, yes he was offside 4 times tonight, but he was robbed of a goal. I can feel him and Martinez coming together, I feel a brace is coming for him next Friday vs the roar. Edited November 18, 2016 by wanderersfanatic wendybr, mack, Horus and 7 others 10

ptwsw Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Brandan beat Berisha for the amount of rolls he did, 10 out of 10 for technique. RBB Tyson chant - awesome. Cahill - I was totally disgusted by his off the ball antics, should have been sent off at half time, the Legacy of Vi$ion confirmed his knobness, a very insecure and head up his arse performance. Can't wait to give him a pasting when he plays us again, would love a Tito of a $5 note with his head on it just to stick it up him for being a A...hole. Defence was good, back four more composed. Alexander Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Watching the match at the moment. We should've been 1-0 up within 5 minutes. dmixtaaa Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 What I witnessed tonight was a very sad day for Australian Football. Week in, week out the officialdom is getting worse. A lot of those calls weren't even close. It seriously looked like it was rigged. Confirmation was at half time when Teflon Timmy was allowed to continue with nothing but a chat from Chris Beath for his obvious hit at half time. No other player in the competition would've got off with that. tardotz, Burgerman, lloydy136 and 9 others 12

No other player in the competition would've got off with that. but think of the metrics dmix!! i have a bit of sympathy for the lino on the bulut goal. he is looking across the line where 3 wsw players are offside and its the furthest one away who is just on is the one who gets the ball. its a very difficult call to make. the one that annoyed me even more than cahill though was manny ******* muscat. gets an early yellow which you would think slow him down a bit but no - he spends the whole game fouling, dragging down nico at every opportunity. the blatant shoulder barge that he did in the last few minutes where he never even looked at the ball was a clear yellow to me which he presumably escaped because the ref was too weak to actually send someone off. marron Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Is there vision of the #vision floating about?
Wanderer74 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 The Referee - I thought the main official had a good game. This was because he was not calling fouls on fornaroli and Brandan just because they went to the ground. Then, Bulut happened. Getting robbed with three calls against you in two weeks doesn't feel good. Kerem Bulut - His game was full of enthusiasm. In the first half, this enthusiasm led to stupid offsides and immature challenges. But his enthusiasm causes a very effective press, something which we needed when he went off. Despite a poor first half, in the second half he was a new man. And when he scored the goal, I immediately thought that this would be the start of his season. Watching the passion of him celebrating in the RBB, and how much it meant to him to score for the fans was riveting. Except now he becomes an easy target on social media, just because he is Kerem Bulut. Bruno Pinatares- a very solid game with solid challenges in the midfield. Some good passes. Aspro- did an incredible job keeping fornaroli in his back pocket. Clisby, Nico, Dimas - all class. Paul01, DamnedUnited and Neverbloom 3
Paul01 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Brandan beat Berisha for the amount of rolls he did, 10 out of 10 for technique. RBB Tyson chant - awesome. Man crush on Nico, and King Mitch. Agree with on Vi$ion. In any other game the incident just before halftime (I sit in the stand closest to the incident with a clear view) would be considered violent conduct from u12s up and is a red card. The one I couldn't see was the one on Nico which drew blood. What happened with that one I have no sympathy for an experienced assistant referee who gets offside wrong. All Referees before the season had to learn the modification to the offside rule that was approved by IFAB The modification was to change the office to only include scoring parts of the body so hands/arms are not included. There was NO change to taking advantage of an offside position ala Cahill. Actually the offside should have called by Beath The Use of the Video Assistant Referee may or may not have overturned the Bulut no-goal. IMO the VAR would have overturned the Cahill goal as an OBVIOUS ERROR. I was happy the boys put in a good defensive performance. The whole back 5 were good and should have had a clean sheet. wendybr 1
BoyFromTheWest Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Only saw the last 15 minutes and liked the way Sotirio held the ball up, turned around, waited for Clisby and then released for the cross that lead to the goal - great work also by both Nichols and Scott to get into the 6 yard box and and create chaos for defense. Even though both missed it, the cross was good enough to create the possibility and defense couldn't stop it. The team lifted after that goal, whereas it sounds like the disallowed goal and the counter-attach goal for City lifted them and deflates us. Commentators (including Covic) felt the result might be enough for WSW confidence to grow, They need something to give them a taste and lift. Friday night will be vital and the RBB and crowd need to lift the boys. Paul01 and wendybr 2
lloydy136 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) just checking out the highlights and reflecting on the match in general clisby had an excellent game - as well as his cross for the goal he did a good job on kamau who tried to get behind him but couldn't and ended up being swapped wings. he is quick and tough in the challenge. he doesn't quite have jamo's motor to get up and down the line or his skill with the ball at his feet but so far he has been pretty good. yes bulut is to blame for drifting offside but if you watch him at the ground not on tv he actually makes these good early runs when we win possession that we never use. dimas, nico and jumpei all take too many touches at times for mine and need to release the ball quicker and play more direct. could be lack of vision (lol) from those players or could be instructions from coaching staff but it is frustrating to watch at times. hope the offside goal is not his 'pio moment'. tyson didn't have to do too much in terms of saves but his distribution was WAY better than redders - i'm sure those in the first few rows on the sidelines appreciated not getting barraged by misplaced goal kicks. Sithslayer1991 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Martinez has better vision than cahill there i said it. Ref was good except for the halftime incident with Cahill. His assistants were useless and probably costed us the game. I really feel for Bulut you could tell it meant so much i want to see his reaction though for the next game. You can tell he is getting better Paul01, wendybr, Neverbloom and 1 other 4
spectacular291 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) Still a lot of work to do. Defence panics when under pressure and can't distribute. Defensive midfielders don't drop back to assist the defence to then build up play from the back. The build up between defence and attack often looked non-existent. City played some of their classiest phases of football between the 60th and 80th min and we had no rebuttal. Our substitutes were ineffective whilst it is enlightening that they are from the academy. Again, Martinez & Jumpei are easy to man-mark or to defend in numbers. City aren't a great defensive team - but this discussion of how good our midfield is, is lost on me. The individual talent and play is brilliant to watch but at times it is ineffective and lacks penetration to the end product. Nichols, Martinez & Jumpei need to suck defenders in and release the ball to open player making a run - I'd personally like to see an overlap of wing-backs to do this but we're limited in quality in that respect. Bulut needs to time his runs better - he's a fast player but he needs to get better. I hate the excuse of blaming the referee - the Bulut goal was unlucky but if you have line of sight of the linesman - there are 3 WSW players offside (not Bulut) crowding a view. I can understand in the second that the referee has to make a decision it can be a mistake. The lack of results is why the majority of people are blaming referees. Jerrad Tyson looked good in goals - he needs to be a dictator to his defence though - a couple of times he should have barked at them. One or two of his decisions were questionable but that is more than excusable considering the last time he played consistently was in Hong Kong. Defence looked more settled with him in goals. 7 weeks in and we're still a work in progress - it's not comforting, especially with ACL this season. Guest riva Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I'm not going ga-ga like most posts over this overall performance at all. Just shows how much our standards and expectations have fallen. The period after City scored was some of the worst stumblebum football I have seen from the team. No idea in attack , misplaced passes , structure all over the place and they were just toying with us. Luckily they didn't score and an own goal got us a point. Our set pieces are of pub team standard and a indictment on the coaching. We need a huge improvement overall to become a side to be feared , like we once were. spectacular291, Neverbloom, Erebus and 2 others 5
lloydy136 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I don't think anyone is saying we played great riva. Most are saying we defended better. They had possession and some fancy play in the middle third but created 2 chances by my count - the goal and the kamau scuff after Tyson flapped at a fairly innocuous cross. I would take that as an improvement over the shower our defence has been to this point. wendybr, MartinTyler, GunnerWanderer and 11 others 14
