We're 14th, here is the article I think you're referring to: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2835752/Bundesliga-pips-Premier-League-attendance-table-recording-second-biggest-average-global-professional-sport-NFL.html

It's pretty interesting to look at those figures. Overseas crowd figures are trivial yet here they mean so much because of the ridiculous monopoly over stadiums that mean attendances become a measure of breaking even.

Regarding Eurosnobs like old mate here on twitter; unless you have a UEFA level coaching license, are you really qualified to be talking about the technical shortcomings of the aleague? The way these people regurgitate their criticisms, I question if they actually know what they're talking about. It's a real look at me I'm an expert kind of statement that they make yet I doubt they could actually pin point specific nuances between here and Europe.

This exactly.

Muppets like this clown on twitter probably stopped playing in u/10s and picked their epl team based off 'who was doing well' at the time that they decided they wanted to support a team.

Could they even attempt to put into words why hull's right back is a better technical footballer than Scott Neville. I would bet money he couldn't.

I can't see Popa going to China. Its a pathway to failure. Popa wants to coach in Europe eventually and he sees Japan as a stepping stone since he has played there and understands the football there.

Chinese teams are ruthless with foreigners if they don't get instant success.

China is surely too big a risk for someone like Popa? I wonder if they're willing to really give him free reign to do whatever he wants?

How much more do they need to spend to work out that mega $$$ doesn't always equate to success?

Bozza actually said something like this that the A-league is too soft with coaches because the way its structured and Aussie coaches can't handle it when they leave (aka Arnie).

Going overseas there is different pressure if the team isn't performing and its something Popa would be prepared for due to his education with Crystal Palace. You would think if he was to leave it would be J-league in Asia otherwise England in the Championship would be quiet likely

People like that that "follow football" overseas should be well versed in a thing called $$$$

Majority of leagues in Europe have similar crowds to the HAL. But for some reason everyone thinks every league in Europe is like the EPL.

People in a smaller Euro nation don't disregard their local league because all the stars play in the big 4 leagues.

Does my head in when "sports" people have this attitude in this backward country.

I wonder if he's ever woken up at 4am to watch Stoke at home take on Hull.

People in other European countries passionately support their local teams (Balkans is one example, where the fans are known worldwide for the crazy stuff they do) while also following higher level leagues. Eurosnobs are just twats who can't be stuffed properly experiencing what it's like to be a football fan and going to the games, engaging with other supporters, the matchday experience etc.

Bossi (saw article in a cafe and refuse to provide link) - Janjetovic looked stunned and furious and stood motionless after snakes. Refused to talk to media (apparently he was on a media ban).

Continues to show his true floginess.

Meanwhile Cockerill defends his "move to Oceania" column as if he's some blogger that needs to react to his readers. His defence - I said talk about it, not do it. Ok Mike...
