Piovaccari Scores! City Smashed!

Popa deserves a lot of credit for the win tonight. He's always been strong with man management, structure and discipline but tonight he showed himself as a master tactician.

Sotirio deserves much praise for the run and cross that led to Bridge's goal.

Bridges was on the money about Pio, but credit to Pio for following through and seeing the ball into the net, even if it was the defence switching off that gave him prime position. He also played the perfect decoy when Vidosic played Nicholls through.

Aspro struggled with the ball and City's high pressing but showed great composure off it. One instance, his poor first touch led to a chance...Aspro recovered perfectly and was calm as a cucumber winning the ball back - cleanly and swiftly.

The Spaniards were two levels above what they showed last week. They were the fulcrum in a dominant midfield display. I actually thought they were a little disappointing (by their standards) v Newcastle but tonight they were lucid, fluid and influential.

Vidosic and Nicholls showed class. When combining together they are a joy to watch. Bridge also provided good movement, held up the ball well and showed craft on the ball.

Neville provided a lot of movement. At times his decisions and distribution was disappointing. Other times he was fantastic.

Redmayne was good apart from that shocking moment I can't even fathom. The recovering save he made was equally as unbelievable.

We have 3 players that should be in the mix for a Socceroos call up: Vidosic, Nicholls and Jamieson. Jamo is at least as good as Meredith IMO.

How many weeks did facebook give popa again?

You couldn't even mention it in weeks, they wanted him out yesterday

See what Pio does next game maybe that will give him a spark but I'd have bulut on speed dial

I think you're a bit of a slow learner.

Didn't you just lose a bet (with yourself) and end up with 2 of Piovaccari's jerseys?

What now, you wanna go double or nothing?

Try and remember, we're not Bling FC. These colours unite us all, mate.

Bulut ain't coming. So let's get rid of that talk.

For me Aspro was an absolute rock at the back and shuts down any type of danger with ease and composure. Am loving watching this guy play more and more.

Neville is getting better and learning to combine more and more with inside players and also putting in a few better crosses. He is becoming a real threat for other teams down that right side. Still needs to watch his defensive duties though.

Apart from the one stuff up, Redmayne looked a bit more solid tonight. Although having a good defence in front of him is starting to help.

Pio looked better than last week and actually made a few runs into space and positioned himself better. Still his ball control lets him down. Hopefully he starts reading things earlier and gets into more scoring positions quicker.

The rest of the team were good as per usual. Couldn't fault a single player tonight.

Only 4 other strikers have buluts claim to fame scoring 5 in there 1st five and he wasn't even match fit

Seriously the media has made a monster out of bulut just like there doing to us the fact is he's really a normal western Sydney lad with a **** load of tattoos that gets fired up when we lose

Would you be wearing 1 or both of your Pio jerseys when you make the call?

Dunno about all the Pio love, he's got nothing, so yea he scored, he's a striker on a ton of coin he's supposed to, let's not forget the only reason he finally got to a ball first was because everyone else stopped.

He has took a bit of pressure off himself and bought himself a bit more time in the first team, for that it is job done tonight. He should take confidence from this goal and kick on.

jayzko is Bulut's agent obviously.

He is right though Pio is so far off the pace it's not funny and he doesn't look like he is improving . If he was a squaddie and not the marquee he would be benched for sure . It took 3 or 4 defenders to switch off due to the offside call for him to get a chance . Best away performance from WSW for a long long time so got to be happy .

Wow! That's why most of us are armchair critics and few of us are football coaches whilst only one of us is Tony Popovic. I can't hear Popa's critics sing I can't hear Popa's critics sing...

Open your eyes and ears. Popa critics are still there and with good reason. 3 games is only 3 games. Still has a lot to prove. I hope he can do it!

EDIT: In before the "you can't open your ears comments." It's a figure of speech ;)
